I am one of the biggest C9 fans out there, and really felt really sorry for all of TL. But C9 was the stronger team, so that's the way it goes.
As a person who rather likes C9, and rather dislikes certain members of Liquid coughdominatexpecialcough, I wanted to see C9 win. But it was brutal to watch how crushed Fenix and Piglet were. They didn't earn the place at worlds in the end, but I'll be damned if they weren't two of the best players in NA this season.

As bad as I feel for TL, if they deserved to go to worlds they would've beaten C9. C9 really stepped it up and brought everything they could to win the gauntlet and TL just kind of stagnated; while C9 got better, TL just stayed where they were.
Perhaps they shouldn't have joined a team that's Cursed to always finish fourth. Do your homework next time, boys. Join a better team.
My heart was already played with when C9 did this run, but it hurt my heart to see Piglet and Fenix like that ;-;
What hurts the most is that TL thought that they had already gotten to Worlds. CLG beating TSM was a big upset, and if it hadn't happened, TL would be in Korea training for Worlds right now.
I wish TL would have gone to Worlds instead. The issue was that Sneaky stepped up hard and decided to play like he's on a top NA team. TL had to focus so much on Sneaky because he was playing exceptional, but with supporting characters like Incarnati0n behind him, bursting everything into Sneaky is what really hurt them. Although I am a TSM fan, mainly because of when I started playing I would watch TheOddOne on YouTube play so I could learn how to jungle. Then I started to find Santorin's champion pool interesting and fun as well and just started following TSM. I think had I played/followed this game when Amazing was their jungler, I would not like TSM because I don't like Amazing much.
C9 Golden Age. I mean seriously, two reverse sweeps and then TL Takedown over 3 days? They played exceptionally well and had so much adrenaline energy and optimism. The odds were ever in their favor.
Piglet threw what little chance they had at game 5, that much is certain. Fenix lost them the game 4 when he missed that Shockwave
I feel like I'm the only one who didn't care too much. but then again, I kinda missed seeing them cry.
They are the kind of player this community needs. Giving all they have at every match.

Two great stories, and only one could have a happy ending. I was hoping Team Liquid could pull through, just because they've never been to Worlds before. And because Hai built sightstone on Amumu, not once but twice. If I was the shot-caller on C9 and playing Amumu, I'd have been like... "Balls, you are on Maokai. Hold your creeps at the tower; I'm coming to farm them!".
That is what happens when you pour everything you got into a competitive sport and still come up short.
I rather felt like the TL that was there during the split didn't seem to show up in the end and I felt bad, however I will not say that C9 didn't have it hard they had the whole gauntlet to run and they did. I just stand to watch the games again cause of the faces that I know where on TL's faces.I hope that TL doesn't vanish but instead take hold of the game and come out on top next season. What I want to see is TL 1st in the summer split and going as the number one team from NA to that Worlds stage.
