Are we forgetting that, at its core, this is a game of strategy, not skill?

Everyone is focusing far too much on the champions, when they are only tools with which to execute your strategy, like units in an RTS (remember that League of Legends is a spiritual successor to a Warcraft III mod). What you should really be focusing on is YOU, as a Summoner.

Strategies you have to work on, independent of champion:

• Minion control
• Trading
• Rotations
• Shot calling
• Vision control
• Item builds
• Matchups
• Roaming
• Map pressure
• Towers
• Positioning
• Jungle routes AND THOSE ARE JUST THE BASICS!

I'm speaking to myself as much as everyone else here when I say that seeing someone on the enemy team pick 'that one OP champ' and saying "gg" is like if we saw Germany develop chemical weapons in World War I and immediately surrendered.
