In hindsight, don't you think garen's rework was a nerf to balance out the power from bruiser items?

I just think that Garen's rework was really a stealth designed to make up for the bruiser items because if you take the bruiser items out of the picture and just focus on garen's kit, it seems he was nerfed pretty heavily.

Compared to old Garen: Passsive: Old Garen regened twice as fast at max rank - nerf Q - Old Garen has higher movespeed bonus/duration and silence lasted up to 2.25 seconds - huge nerf W - Old Garen would have to have 150 armor/mr to break even with the new passive but his old W lasted up to 6 seconds and also reduced CC - for the most part a nerf E - You did more damage with the old E at early levels and if you built AD but otherwise new E is better with CDR refunding mechanic and scaling. - buff or nerf depending on your playstyle R - Obvious buff

If you think Garen is op right now imagine this monster walking around

Pretty much all of Garen's ability minus his point-and-click meganuke got nerfed for the villany mechanic. Which basically means you get punished for beating a Garen in a fight in lane because being a villain as a melee means you have no chance against him in a fight.

They got rid of that. Now he doesn't mark people who kill him as the villain. At least during laning.

You underestimate how much the W and E changes buffed him.
