This season still blows

Can't pick anything immobile and/or squishy. Comps are so tanky, and there's so much mobility, that a good 1/3 of the roster is unplayable.

Edit: BTW, Cinderhulk is so good for the tanky stats, no other upgrade is worth getting even on AP junglers.

Comps are so tanky,

Hey, at least mobility isn't the only factor playable now. Progress is being made.

WAY better than S4 though.

Immobile champions are playable but many can be very niche. I wouldn't label so many champions as unplayable.

Lets be honest better than season 3 also.

I miss how short the games were in s3.

IT was easier to close in 20 minutes but not really a healthy time overall.

Yeah, large swaths of the roster were virtually unplayable and there was basically early - mid game. While late game was never a realistic option. But overall, I preferred the shorter game times.

I didn't mind S3, but I started early in S3. Didn't have the knowledge of the game to really say one way or the other to really say which was better. Although it always felt like the more imbalanced season. Always seemed like there was some stupidly OP champion. But again, new player.

ap kog, ziggs and xerath are all immobile and one of the best seige / poke champs in the game rn...

They've got big range to reach past the frontline. Ok, so 1/3 - 3 of the roster are unplayable.

See how well you do with Malzahar or Anivia.

Terrible examples. They've all got huge range.

See how well you do with Malzahar or Anivia.

Both have > 50% winrates. They're fine, that's a really bad example.

Anivia has a high leaning curve. Played in the right hands she will carry a game. She's the type of champion where you get better by knowing how to play the game more than knowing the champion. Being good on her wont mean squat if you don't know what to do after you kill the enemy. Or understand the enemy enough to not die. She has a few ways to handle mobility. But so many of them require perfection. Her wall's center has a mini knockback effect that can disrupt dashes. Her stun is near instant close range for other gap closers. She has some of the bet kiting in the game. Her damage is strong, only really held back by her mana costs.

Malz is very strong but niche. Mobility isn't his weakness. He actually has tools to counter it. His weakness is that if he doesn't win mid game will rarely land an ult for the rest of the game from enemy CC. The power he has comes with limitations. He doesn't get played by pro's because they understand those limitations. Even if he gets a favorable pick he will get camped all game by every lane. Bot will push and roam. So will top. While he has strong waveclear, he has to be ahead to use that. He has to be ahead to zone the enemy while clearing forever with nothing stopping him. Once he is zoned out it's hard for him to get back in.
