I was queuing for JG support, got in as support, then our mid askes if he can support because he is a support main got autofilled to mid......

If he really was a support main then there is no way he would get auto filled to mid. If you've played support recently you won't get auto filled.

Sometime we like to play/practice new champs, and that champ is most likely not a support. I'm sure he/she is a support main, after practiced, decided to comeback but haven't got the protection yet.

I've gotten autofilled to adc and jungle (neither of which I play at all) and was lucky that the one playing support didn't WANT support both times and they just switched with me.

Autifill is pointless lol

You get auto fill protection for 2 or 3 games if you played support or filled. This is a fact.

I queued Support + jungle, got top. Someone dodged, and I still got top. :|

They need to get rid of it and replace it with draft pick + teambuilder like we had before.

I feel they are only putting in autofill to make normal draft less appealing so they can get rid of it like they want to. They'll just say people weren't liking our normal drafts anymore so it is not worth to keep it up anymore, which is weird because why would you EVER pick blind over draft? Fighting for your roll, instalockers and worse is that you can't ban those FOTM champs or annoying ones like Yasuo and Lee.

I've posted about this many times and every time, it gets downvoted.

The roles you pick are NOT prioritized over other players roles. As in... Player A: Primary Mid, Secondary Top Player B: Primary Top, Secondary Mid It's entirely possible to give Player A Top, and Player B Mid. Or, Player A can get Top, then Player B will get autofilled, and someone else can get autofilled Mid. Also, Player A can get autofilled into Support or whatever and another player can get autofilled Mid.

It's not really that uncommon for people to get autofilled into other player's primaries while they are put in their secondary or autofilled themselves.

But even without autofill, it still can place players as their secondary when there is a Primary for that role available. It just makes no sense at all.

Get the literally anything else and get in champ select to only see the person who got support going "damnit, that's what I get for putting support secondary" and what they put Primary? The role I got, so we just switch.

It is like...what is even the point of that then? I wanted support he wanted the role I got put in. why did the system not just put us in the roles we wanted instead of doing some stupid shenanigans for no reason?

I queued up for Mid/Top and got ADC. I get that those are two popular roles but I was only like four minutes into the queue.

in case if you dont know, you need to queue for 2 roles, and there is like 1% chance of getting your secondary role even when you have support primary.

Sometimes support mains like to play other roles. Variety is the spice of life, my friend. Except ADC. I hate that role.

You get more than one games protection.

I just played adc as someone who always goes sup primary/bot secondary, and still had autofill protection in my next queue.

Putting support as your primary doesn't automatically give you support, and getting your second role as support primary does not mean you autofilled.

This guy either queued as Support/Mid or played a few games without supporting/autofilling, losing his immunity (which is somewhat ironic, not being able to support because you haven't supported in a few games)

im a Zyra support main. i usually have support primary and mid secondary( occasionally ill have mid primary for the %5 chance of getting it lol). for the first time ever i got mid when it was my secondary :P we were all very confused to have 2 support mains on one team lol. inb4 i hypercarried with zyra mid.

Same. I queued as Support/Jungle and got auto-filled ADC. The next game, the same thing happened to another guy in my premade (he wasn't queued for support, though).
