Impassable terrain my ass.

Jarvan's traps anyone in and prevents anyone getting in. Camille's just keeps one person from leaving; everyone but her target can move through it as they please.

Jarvan's has a 150% ad ratio. That shit will nuke your ass to kingdom come.

j4 ult prevents entering it while camille's is free to enter

not rly considering it's a giant aoe nuke

J4 was compensated quite alot for the 'impasable' terain. His ult is a powerfull abillity in his kit even without any terain(aditional gapcloser+huge nuke), and it still forces flash or other escapes and generally can split fights , as it not only is an areana but simply a ring-formed wall that can seal of chokepoints.

I feel bad for CoTC. I was hopeful it wouldn't be gutted, but she sliced those hopes and shanked me in the crotch.

The just need to add a slight displacement effect of your main target of Jarvan's Ult to allow it to trigger CoTC as well.

He has a knockup already?

He has a knockup already?

Why should he just be allowed one way (a very convoluted way as far as CC goes, to boot!) to trigger it whereas many Champions have multiple?

He is supposed to be an initiator. Freakin' let his biggest tool for that trigger the appropriate Keystone.

Champions shouldn't be altered to fit keystones. They can be balanced around them as an option, but to have a champion changed just so a keystone works where it didn't previously is dangerous. Jarvan is typically rewarded already with multiman ults. To give him a massive shield on top of the way has w shield works he would definitely shove him in a bad direction making him virtually unkillable within a certain timeframe regardless of his build. You pick Jarvan to initiate and dive carries. As a tank/bruiser diver he is still supposed to risk his life by launching himself at the enemy team. The buff you suggest removes a ton of risk the more enemies there are in the area. He still gets it on E-Q. To get it on his ulti would remove his incentive to combo his spells, and encourage him to simply flash ult-w into the entire team with no consequence ever.

Sorry, but that pig won't fly with me. When the diver/initiator rework swings around, they definitely need to make sure abilities like this can trigger CoTC. Especially since they just released Camille who does just that:

She jumps into the enemy team, triggers maximum Shield possible, while pushing everyone but her target away. It is very much like Jarvan's and Rito has no problem with her, so there's no issues with giving it to Jarvan as well.

They fixed a few of the squirm out of J4 ult cases a few patches back didn't they?

Wonderlands1 votes

The point is Camille's terrain looks actually impassable. Jarvan's just needs a mobility spell or flash.

LostFr0st1 votes

Yeah, that worries me too. Along with not knowing its interaction with unstoppable ultimates.

Wonderlands2 votes

One thing Jarvan has over Camille might be that Jarvan's is AoE and Camille's seems to be a single target.

LostFr0st1 votes

Yep.

Which was only recently while his ultimate goofiness has been around forever.

I feel like the damage was put in because they didn't want duplication of abilities.

DiebusterFan1 votes

Oh man, it would be way too fun to stop her from assassinating somebody with a Sion ult if it can smash into there.

LostFr0st1 votes

See, I'm hoping it works that way. I'm just not sure about the edge cases where let's say she's vs a Sion top and he's ulting in to hit her with his jungle coming in and just when he's about to hit she ults the jungle and pussies away kinda like a Fiora parry on Sion ult. I'm hoping Sion ignores it like he should.

Everybody feels sad for JarvanIV.

Meanwhile somewhere else in Demacia item 3070XinZhaoitem 3070

Meanwhile, J4's ult will kill you via its massive damage, while preventing anyone from entering or escaping without a mobility ability. While Camille's ult has nothing other than leaving prevention for the main target, except anyone else can come in, and if she herself leaves the circle early, her target can leave, and then some self-AA magic damage buff.
