Why can't Taliyah ride her wall when getting hit but Talon can escape over 20 walls in battle

I had is so often that I was ganked and wanted to ult away but the clutch smite from their jungler just fucked me over. It's extremely unfair that Talon can just escape mid battle when he realizes he would die but Taliyah can't ride her wall when getting hit.

I totally understand they're 2 different champions and 2 different roles, but it feels wrong that a control mage with only one little knockback with an outragous cooldown has no escape ability.

Seeing as the cooldown is quite long and the cast time is rather long, i don't think it would be unfair to give her that. Most other teleport/displacement spells are only interrupted by CC. It would also allow her to perform more outplays by ulting through a teamfight to flank the enemy, without getting knocked down by a sunfire cape.

right??? RIGHT??? The feel when you were just sneaking the enemies blue buff and want to ult away but the enemy jungler is standing in the way of your ult hitting you with the cinderhulk passive and deletes you afterwards as you have no other way to escape.

That is why. Additionally, the mobility isn't the only thing that Taliyah brings with hers. Why does Taliyah also get to wall of her enemies escape and make her entrance? Because while on the surface they are similar, they're used totally differently. Talon's is used for flanking, escaping, and general mobility. Taliyah's is mainly used for splitting teamfights, and cutting off escape routes.

Assassins are built around the concept that they have some kind of escape in their kit, mages are not. That is why Taliyah's is designed around being very difficult to use to escape.

I've got no experience on Taliyah, but if Talon jumps 20 walls, that's 20 less walls to jump for the next 3ish minutes.

That can be huge, becuase if you don't plan your route you can easily lock yourself out of a third spell.

20 walls was over exaggerated. It's enough when he jumps the nearest wall to escape. What annoys me is that he can do it while receiving damage.

Aren't Mages supposed to be low mobility and have ranged damage? Assassins have high mobility but are melee and have a higher chance of dying when they jump into the fight. And also, Talon's E can be interrupted by CC. Did I mention that the walls go on cooldown? So you gotta strategise what walls you use so you don't get caught out.

Talon's E can be interrupted by CC, while Taliyah can't even ride the wall by taking damage. https://i.gyazo.com/0b66fbe6c96a41e5692b1ee857f40da4.png It doesn't even have to be damage coming from champions.

Taliyah's ult also has a really high cooldown

Isnt it because talon jumps one wall and taliyah cuts off a third of the map? What if i told u its a skill matchup

The saddest part about it is that the only time you get to use your ultimate is before or after a fight, but never during it.
