That feeling when Jagex is making better decisions than Riot.

Ya know, when jagex had two player groups who wanted various things.... They had the sense to actually let the community want what they asked for.

For those of you who don't know, they had an update called EOC which completely changed the combat system and a large graphical update along with it. So, for a bit the community split and rioted, but Jagex thought up the perfect solution. Bring back the old game in a separate yet connected system. They both coexist today with a bevy of activity from both sides of the community.

Now before you go rattling off about this being some little MMO, remember that Runescape was actually the biggest free MMO for a couple of years. They had several million active accounts, and raked in quite a large amount of money. As with all things though, runescape lost popularity shortly after the biggest change they had to the core game itself. (Not EOC, but the loss of the wilderness.) They never quite recovered from it.

Call me a doomsayer, but I see the exact same thing in Riot's future. Sure, they'll have players, but it will be only a remnant of what it use to be.

However unlike Jagex, Riot has the rare opportunity of "learning from the mistakes of others." They can (for one in their lives) go back on what they've done here. They can revert the stupidity that was making ranked "casual, and friend based." They can go back to the light, and become the spectacular gaming company we all know they can actually be.

So please, listen to your community. If we're only a minority that's fine, but we're the only people who are willing to give you feedback without the aid or coaxing of a survey. This is pure and unadulterated feedback, take it seriously..... please.

An extremely dissapointed fan...........
