I know nobody wants Thresh buffs and the new LW is super strong vs him but...

What if the armor he gained from his souls counted as his base armor until he collected 75 souls, which would make all subsequent souls afterwards count towards bonus armor?

Math: 75 multiplied by 0.75 would equal 56.25.

Add 16 to 56.25 and he would have 72.25.

That is still in the bottom 20 of base armor at level 18 and wouldn't make the new LW so freaking absurd vs him.

I know Thresh is overbearing, has been op for a long ass time but no item or mechanic in the game should make a champion absolutely destroyed without some form of counterplay for them.

Thresh would have 0 way to go vs that new item, I hate playing against Thresh but this shouldn't really happen to anybody.

I wouldn't want a Riven nerf to make her have 0 way to play vs anything, and that's saying something(though I do want her nerfed into the ground then have every champion take a shit all over her).

Thoughts?

Incidental side-effects of this requested change: Thornmail would be worse on him.

The new last whisper is weaker against thresh at all points in the game compared to the current last whisper. Its upgrades are weaker than the current last whisper until after 112 bonus armor and even then the difference is relatively unnoticeable.

As mentioned, it isn't as crippling as people think. At worse, if they finish T2 Last Whisper upgrade (both cost 2700g total), he loses about 10 armor compared to live LW, and that's with 250+ bonus armor. T1 Last Whisper now gives 30% bonus armor pen, which is a straight buff for Thresh.

He isn't going to be destroyed by these changes.
