Wouldn't Swapping your Pick order be a superior method over swapping champions?
This removes all RNG of if teammates do not own your pick or if you don't own theirs. It makes 0 impact of if some one needs to change roles as well. you can still do that and they just lock their pick for the swapped roles.
I don't see any downsides to this that champion swap does not inherently struggle with as well. Do you?

Kai Guy1 votesSwapping roles tends to be called due to auto fill or if your mains get banned. Both of which need to be communicated to teammates. This change would not negatively or positively change that.
As Riot already has had to make detection systems for roles to deal with potential abuse for people trying to Game positional MM. What do you think Role swapping in lobby accomplishes in actuality? MMR range used for a "fair" game is already done for the role by the time lobby is made.
Pick swapping over Trading champions would however 100% fix the issue of "lulz I don't own that champion" forever.
Saezio1 votesThe problem is, right now, if someone just says fuck it and goes to another role and is more successful in that game than the actually assigned person, the game doesn't know who is trolling.
If it was a simple button to swap role, then game would 100% of the time know who to ban
Kai Guy1 votesWouldent sending a support ticket to report that make it pretty clear by Pre game lobby chat and assigned roles that some one clearly stole ones position?
Most folks are not quite when teammates dick them over. Even then 0 communication inherently makes who ever stole the role look guilty by default.
I feel like its a report case that's pretty easy to track and punish with a player behavior system.
Adding a Report to pregame lobby that sends in when regardless of game starts might be a better solution to this problem.
Saezio1 votesI think tickets should be for emergency stuff and bugs only. Casual punishing should be pretty automated.
