i'm having trouble staying relevant come late game because of my range, i need to get up into someone face in order to do something and that results in my ass getting kicked which kind why i decided to stop playing lucian for a bit. i can do very well early game and maybe even end it before late game comes but yeah, any lucian players out their want to give me some tips?
Powderkegg1 votesAs a Lucian main myself I can say that the key to him and any ADC is proper positioning. If you have to put yourself in a position where your unsure if you're going to die just back off. For team fighting specifically, without getting a pick, all you can do as Lucian is drop your ult to try and thin the team out and wait for your team to engage and once they do Lucian's high burst can delete people, especially with ie, yomus, and pd. Other than that you can't really poke much or engage yourself due to his low range as mentioned.
JAGMAG1 votesi suggest not picking him against a tanky team against a team that's mostly squishy lucain will stay relevant all game long but he lacks tank killing power and late game team fights can be a nightmare because of this
WolfChases1 votesDon't pick Lucian if Graves is open. Late game Graves can easily kill enemy Squishy with Q > AA > R and walk away like a boss. I remember when I played Lucian, I beated Graves in lane so hard, had 30 minions more than him, when I had full build he had 3 items, but as soon as we hit late game the tide turned to his favor, he was even able to outduel me with 1 item less than me even if I pulled of my combo perfectly.

the glorified adc who has both shsort medium and long range requires stats for both a caster and autoatacker playstyle (insanely hard to one without sacrificing another)
because riot knows what they do
he needs to be solidified first ... then they can create his weaknesses and strenghts every time they tweaked something he blew up in a diferent way becuase he is everything and nothing at the same time
