Who counters zed?

I'm tired of seeing that champion and don't tell me Kayle because he can just wait until your ult is over and all in under tower.

Best pick you can do is Lissandra

If he pressed R, you press R on yourself.

She literally has a free zhonyas that heals you and deals damage to people >_>

and she also has really good poke and waveclear to push the wave in. Zed has decent waveclear but not when his skills are on cooldown, and zed has a decently high cooldown on W earlygame, giving you more chances to poke and trade.

Then there is Talon...

As someone who loves zed as a playable character, i get fucking anxiety every time i see an enemy talon.

Talon's earlygame all Outs can fuck up a zed so hard, ecspecially if talon starts Q for the lvl 1 crit pokes, one melee Q-AA can almost half health a zed.

Just be careful of the midgame, because talon's falloff scales almost twice as shitty as zed does, means the longer the game goes on the less chances you have vs a zed as a talon.

Skillbased "Counters" which mostly are just matches decided by who has more Skill are: Ahri Annie Diana Ekko Fizz Leblanc Kassadin Orianna

Malzahar is the best counter, also akali can buly him, Morgana is viable,

Seems like you are not confident when you are playing against Zed.

That being said a good Zed player can outplay any champion.

Just play safe, pick item 2419 , build item 3157 and try to not let roam him much.

If you're dumb enough to R as Kayle before Zed R's then you deserve to get dove and rekt. He also has plenty of counterplay if you understand how he works. (I routinely beat Zed's with champions not even considered strong against him because I understand what the Zed player is trying to do to me and how I can mess that up with the tools I have). Some examples: -Move under your tower during the part of his ult where he's untargetable (if his minions aren't at your tower, he will immediately pick up tower aggro upon reappearing) -Abilities with a delay/cast time can be timed to land the moment he reappears (note the he appears behind his target relative to where he cast his R from). -He cannot recast his R to swap back to his R shadow immediately, and his W takes time to cast and then recast to swap (so if he didn't pre-place it), you have a window to exploit his position in which only his flash and movement speed can be used to avoid your abilities. This is a great time to land your CC and interrupt his E-Q-auto combo if applicable. As well as try and juke his shurikens by moving in an unexpected direction. -His W has a pretty long cooldown in lane (like 15 secs or so), so if he uses it to try and W-E-Q (or just W-Q) to harass, you have a window to retaliate with relative impunity.

I mean sure it sounds good on paper, but he can w q e poke and bait out the R. It's not as easy as it sounds.

Why are you using your R as Kayle before he Ultis?

Also, all ypu need to counter Zed is a Stopwatch or Hourglass

No. What happens is he uses his shadow on me fast and e q auto with his duskblade. Idk how to explain it really. Just imagine him switch places with his shadow really fast to dusk blade proc.

On lane Zed has no counter. He has always the dominant lane - Some shenanigans involving Top-Laners picked mid excluded. You beat him by outscaling him and dening him roams.

Try Champions with good waveclear. Punish him early for CSing. Than play safe and focus on clearing waves and warding the river. If he gets no lead - he will just die once TFs start.

Stuff like: Ahri Anivia Ekko Malzahar or the latest addition to mid Morgana should be fine.

you used to be able to take bulky mages into him, but not so much anymore.

Swain Gragas Galio Vladimir Ekko Diana

but screw that, just counterpick him with something disgusting like a renekton, you'll straight up win lane against him in addition to having better scaling at every stage of the game. granted you sacrifice a balanced team comp, but ultimately you have a 5v4 situation right off the bat.

Every tank in the game will wreck him. Just take a tank in middle lane and laugh as his full combo only does 1/4 of your hp in damage. In lower ranks it is especially potent because Zed will do the standard lethality build even if you are stacking armor instead of switching to black cleaver/mortal reminder.

IDK kayle just feels so clunky to me. I suck with her though.

AP Nasus. He shoves fast, making it very hard for Zed to roam and snowball. While shoving, he's slowly pushing Zed out of lane, further increasing the lead. Zed also can't kill Nasus assuming both hit lvl 6 at the same time.

Diana or Renekton CAN counter him, but both of those are basically skill matchups also, I played zed precisely ONCE. every time i had ult up someone died, literally ult on someone who's at full hp, do your w q e combo then ult out and get off scott free plus one kill richer, if they are a little tanky throw in like 2 auto's

To be honest zed players need skill to not get counterd, but I've been maining zed for a while and have no negative scores and a 16 win streak. Zed can be broken sometime but tank champions can bully him in lane like nautilus. Akali has had a lot of nerfs and now struggles to fight him. I haven't really came through any counters in mid yet, but that could be that I'm only lvl 40 and are versing noobs but I'll see. Also if you are versing Yasuo he may poke you alot, just QWE and he'll go away
