Two possible lich banes to choose from. Scales

So i'm proposing to allow us to choose from among two Lich Bane option Lifesteal One in its current form and one that scales more off of the sheen's base %ad. and less of the % ap.
To complement this I would also let the portion of the damage that scales of ad apply lifesteal (in the same way nidalee q can lifesteal despite doing magic damage). This would give gunblade more viability particularly if paired with lichbane.

Champions who don't build deathcap don't get nearly as much out of lich bane. And lichbane's stats are build with deathcap in mind. Which reserves lichbane to glasscannon builds at the detriment of the other champions who would benefit from it. Trinity force doesn't have an equivalent ad item to deathcap which is why you don't need two trinity forces to compensate for such an item.

below i added a sort of toggle/slider mechanism to pick your lichbane. First you slide it to confirm which one you want. only then can you buy it. You cannot switch between the two after as the other one will be locked.

I also added a list of champions who could take advantage of lich bane with or without lifesteal. http://i.imgur.com/sQpdeqq.jpg

oops also forgot to add blitz to the list without lifesteal. (which LB might be better if it scaled more on his ad. right now he goes iceborn gauntlet but doesn't necessarily need the slow) base movement speed might be better on blitz too. If he builds the rest tanky he won't have enough ap to make the current lichbane worth while. same can be said of alistar. Like why can irelia go with only trinity force and have enough damage... go only lichbane and people laugh at you.

...Base AD ranges from 84.6 to 141.5. Lichbane changes Sheen from 100% base AD to 75%; this is a loss of 21.15 to 35.375 damage. The proc is 50% AP; Lichbane alone gives 80 AP, making the proc do AT LEAST 40 bonus damage. So no, there is literally no reason to change the proc amount.

Otherwise, the only reason to make it proc lifesteal is so it's more in line with Trinity Force.

To be honest i'm a little lost on how much lifesteal we are talking here. 40% lifesteal on 100% ad is ridiculous, imagine draven, he could heal for up to 90 hp early game with that buff. I would like to congradulate you though on a great original idea, just needs to be tweaked a bit. Also if ap champions need sustain why not just build a will of the ancients?

Where would draven get 40% life steal from? and why would he build lb... As for the ad to ap ratio. What I'm aiming for is so that up to around 250 or 300 ap, the one that scales with ad gets slightly better spellblade dmg. And then it falls off the more ap you get.

At max base AD (Mega Gnar), this spellblade would do an extra...3.375 damage compared to the normal Lichbane. With 9 extra AP it would break even.

As in, with JUST masteries and Lichbane you would do more damage with the original. Every single time.

K so then you'd have to add a flat amount of magic damage along with the 100% ad portion that can life steal. To make it work.

I'd rather have a new spellblade item. Something less hybrid than trinity force.

K I suppose the life steal might be op in the end. I guess trinity force is really the way to go in that instance. But what are your thoughts on adding a lichbane item thats a bit better off on its own, for if you aren't stacking ap? For ap bruiser/tanky champs that don't particularly go the iceborngauntlet route. It would fall off beyond 250/300 ap. Aka no deathcap.

You wouldn't even need two items you could just have it so that up until you have 300 ap it scales a certain way...
