Finally realized why I can't win...

And no, it's not because I suck! ...Okay, I do suck, but it's certainly not the problem.

See, I've mentioned two threads now how I always play with my brother, and his friends. You know - guys who're at levels 70 - 120. Guys who've played for years. Guys who are at a high elo.

I'm losing, dying, and sucking big ones, because my own elo is more like Bronze V, while they're more like Silver IV. Everyone I have played against in the past few... Every single game I've ever actually played, have been at a higher elo, playing longer, playing better, doing better, than I ever have, and probably ever will. Just the realization that this is why I have been having such crap luck with the game is like a light on my life, and a really depressing realization:

I just suck and probably ain't getting out of the lowest of the low in elo. Pretty sure it doesn't matter how well I play, myself... Just matters if the team I'm on does well. Or however elo is calculated for draft/blind... So probably best if I stop playing with the big boys and just stick with the salty babies of Bronze V, right?

lulz. The difference between Silver and Bronze is generally just Mechanical skill. They're both zones dominated by absolutely horrible game knowledge and objective focus.

The reason you aren't Silver probably IS you.

Let me ask you a few things?

Do you chase kills when your base dies behind you to a split pusher consistently? If so, change the behavior and go kill some minions to prevent that split push or at least slow it down.

Are you playing all 5 roles randomly? If so, choose 1-2 and stick with them. 5 role play when you are not mechanically skilled and low on game knowledge generall sabotages your climb. Find a champ and role that you reliably 4+ KDA every game, and stick with it. And then... find champs similar to that one in how they move/skill/combo, and add them to your arsenal until you have some 10 reliable champions.

Are you randomly banning? If so, learn who to ban. My advice at low elo? These: Garen Tryndamere Yasuo MasterYi Jax Fizz Jhin Jinx depending on your team's composition. They are the champs which ruin the elo.

Do you listen to Drake calls? If not, think about starting, and not dying while they are being pinged.

From what I can tell: You are a nonengager. You have extremely low deaths, but also usually no kills at all. Maybe think about getting kills on a carry? Especially if you can't vs your own laner. Roam through self warded areas and gank other lanes if you don't feel comfortable with 1v1's.

Hey, dont worry about it! I play with people above my elo a lot too and get my ass ate. Its a great way to practice, honestly, and made me get better at playing in my own elo. Hit up ranked, see where you're at, and play from there. If you ever want someone to help you out by teaching you some stuff since you're fairly new, i'm not that great but can help you out a bit!
