People probably realized that Riot isn't going to remove the plant system.

We'll have to wait until they overhaul the jungle again in S8's pre-season.

The removal of small monsters on Red/Blue buff and the increased number of Raptors screwed him pretty badly.

The removal of smite-buffs (especially Raptor and Wolf smite-buffs) worsened the issue.

Honestly after people started using Blast Cone they loved it, myself included. When they introduced it, it was stupid because it was in the dumbest spots (in front of Raptor camp and between Red Buff and the path leading to Krugs that wasn't behind the pits). After they got placements setup in 2 spots per quarter map it became more accepted and not as troll or RNG. People were able to combo using them and found them to be fun/useful.
