The whole point of the minion pushing mechanic was to make it easier for losing teams.
As in, if the minions are pushing towards you it's easier for you to catch them and farm at your tower and come back from behind. From what I've heard on the boards though, this has not had the desired effect at all.
Over here in EUW without the minion changes I've enjoyed this patch far more than 5.22, this patch is fun and I'm having the time of my life in general. I haven't enjoyed league this much since before the Juggernaut patch, back when Cinderhulk was all the rage.
It makes me wonder - why was this specific change chosen to make it easier for teams to come back? I feel like Riot kinda thought "Lets let minions push into losing teams slightly so that they can farm more easily" and then went overboard with all these odd clauses and effects and rules in an attempt to balance the thing.
There should be a lot of alternate, simpler, better solutions that don't destroy some of our game knowledge.
Off the top of my head, we could have minions and monsters give more gold on kill to losing teams than teams who are ahead. Same result, simpler and (imo) better path.
I'm just a bit confused about this chosen method. Doesn't make any sense to me.
