After 6 stacks, Kindred wolf should hunt dragon/baron only.

Title. Feels weird not having wolf hunger for those two, and also feels weird if he doesn't hunger after 6 stacks. Wouldn't be broken or OP since both of those are very contested objectives anyway, particularly later in the game.

Hmm, that's an intriguing suggestion, I'll bounce that off the folks working on Kindred tomorrow, see if that makes sense to them too. Suspect Baron only might be the way to go to avoid pumping too many more stacks in for a winning Kindred.

Can we expect a damage cap on monsters for their passive?

And more importantly, have you considered making their passive scale like thresh's old passive so that it doesn't get too bonkers lategame? By getting stacks from camps alone, you can reach 7.5% current HP per attack That's only .5% below bork

The passive should never get really that bonkers lategame. Ive only seen it go to 12-13 and thats when kindred is super super fed. most games end before it gets to more than 7-8

Thresh's is actually a flat .75 armor and AP per soul: it used to be a different formula, but was changed a long time ago (2.25 years ago).

Oh yeah thanks for that

Damage Cap on passive damage against Monsters should be working on the PBE Monday. It's intended to be 75 damage, but got bugged at some point from the looks of it and stopped working.

Is that 75 per stack, or just a flat 75?

RiotMeddler26 votes

Total (for comparison, Blade of the Ruined King does 60 max against Monsters).

Thanks for the clarity Meddler!

Do you think it's a good idea for [lane] Kindred to heal for 63+ health by attacking minions every few seconds, thanks to her w's passive? Some of us on PBE think the full heal should only be for hitting champs and monsters. We'd love some red input in the official Kindred thread as well.

Will Wolf have a similar cap?

He will.

For comparison, 75 Cap on Kindred, 60 Camp on BotRK, when are you going to put a cap on Kallista's unlimited "Rend" stacking, and multi target stacking with Ruunan's?

Have you considered taking the damage cap away? I think that the lack of damage cap almost helps Kindred as a champion more than anything else. It gives her a strong purpose, and identity. She's extremely good as an objective control champion. Her ganks aren't the best, and her teamfight utility is strong, sure, with her ult and tank-shredding abilities, but I think it's really amazing how her %HP damage makes the enemy team worry about things that might not normally happen in other games. Extremely fast dragons, and very early Barons become a threat against a Kindred, so opposing players really need to keep up their ward control against her or risk losing a Baron as soon as it spawns if they play the teamfights poorly.

I think it really adds a lot to her, and I think it should stay a part of her. Capping it will severely hurt that.

It's one thing to give a champion an identity as champion control, it's another to give them the potential to solo baron in under 5 seconds.

This is a good change.

Then you realize that jungle vayne can solo baron with 4 items on live.

i thought it was cool having it uncapped to emphasize her jungling strengths

Which is intended because she trades off range (500), AS & low AS growth, and low AD growth.

If her passive wasn't decent even when only jungling, it would be very difficult for her to remain relevant in damage.

Could have tiered limits. 6 stacks and Wolf stops hunting normal camps, and only hunts Dragon, 8+ Stacks and it only hunts Baron etc. numbers would be up to you, but something like that would be interesting, and would help a Kindred that has trouble getting the kills on her hunted targets properly.

Wow I made the exact same suggestion before I saw yours.

The Ecdysiast1 votes

Does Kindred reach 6 stacks before 20 minutes? Does Kindred have the ability to get Sated before 20 minutes?

Absolute0Chaos1 votes

Maybe 7th and 8th is dragon, after that it's baron.

8 x 1.25 = 10% which I think is a nice number.

Why is no one acknowledging Kindred feedback on the PBE forums? Are we SUPPOSED to bring it here, instead?

Quick update on this. We'll be adding wolf hunting Baron in, we're past the point of being able to get it in for Kindred's launch though, so it'll follow in patch 5.20.

EDIT: I'm a fucking moron.

This would be cool.

The marks dont give vision, it just lets you know that monster is alive, and since dragon and baron are both globally announced, everyone knows that anyway.

CubedJustice2 votes

You've never actually played Kindred, have you? Or even seen footage of her play?

Crossette3 votes

I've played Kindred on the PBE and I now realize that I completely misunderstood that mechanic and am a fucking idiot.
