I'm done with LoL until balance will come

Pls write an answer before downvote: why do you not agree with me, are you maining Riven or Hecarim, do you love to face them on toplane, do you love state of game right now.

Moving on toplane what do I see? Irelia with endless stun and with better lifesteal than Vladimir. Volibear with so useless kit so he got stupidly insane damage and OP passive to compensate it. Hecarim who simply can't be traded because he's knocking back his target with E. Riven who can't be traded because she has everything that champions can have (except ranged attack), and you have to stay zoned until she waste her Q so you'll be able to get your pathetic cs. Cho'Gat with his new ranges now can burst anyone like Annie, but same time he has Garen tankiness. In jungle I see Lee Sin who terrorizing me 3 seasons already - with new jungle items he is so fat and he can risk InSecing anyone without risk.

I'm rly envying this players who like to play all this OP champ, because it's your time and you can carry games solo. Probably I have to take rest until time comes for my fav picks.

When players are playing their fav champs they must feel satisfaction not frustration.

If hecarim and riven both can not be traded with, what happens when they trade with eachother? 0.o

Atoms will split and this will be end of the LoL. This is questions is like "who is stronger: whale or elephant?".

junglerboy161 votes

obviously the elephant, the whale is just a floating mass of blubber that rides currents and eats krill.

dEAdbUs1 votes

Can't agree :D Some whales eat huge fish and even krakens.

junglerboy162 votes

erm... Krakens aren't real tho...

A sperm whale would give an elephant a run for their money, but really, it comes down to which is fighting in their natural habitat (land or ocean).

junglerboy161 votes

That is a giant squid, a Kraken is a mythological creature the size of a small island (or in most cases at least 10 times the size of a giant squid): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kraken

True, true =D

depends on which one got ganked, say lee ganked hec, hec would have one more kill than riven.

It's a video game, it's impossible to balance. If you want balance play chess.

I'm not asking for absolute balance, I'm asking just for more balance.

Learning how to beat popular champions must be hard when you're not using your brain.

I'm downvoting because you aren't asking for help, you're just bitching about the champions that have won games against you. This thread serves no purpose.

The worst part is that there's a really easy way to learn how to beat these "OP" champions that most people don't try because of some false self-honor; play as the champion, and learn their strengths and weaknesses. It's a strategy game, and knowing how a champion works gives you an advantage when playing against them.

dEAdbUs1 votes

I downvote you too, because I wrote why this champions hard to beat. But you, with your brain or maybe with you self-honor, are not trying to help me.

JustMyBassCannon1 votes

You asked why people are down-voting your thread.

My reason is because I've seen these rants literally thousands of times. I've been on these forums for years. And, in every case, whenever I tried to give advice to one of these garbage rant threads, the response is never, "Thanks for the advice."

No, instead, you'll get several variants of "I don't like the counter-strategy because [it doesn't work every time, or it requires me to do something different, or it's not going to permanently shut them down, etc.]"

It has become a rule of thumb to assume that pointless bitch-ranting like your original post is basically a sign of someone trying to find other people that want to bitch about "OP" champions that aren't actually overpowered, instead of looking for help. When you want help, you ask for help. That's how it works.

Seeing that you might be interested in some advice, let me give you the easiest thing you can do to learn counter-play. Play as the champions for yourself. You'll do two things; learn their strengths and weaknesses for yourself, and learn how other people play against you. Knowing how the champion functions is fundamental in learning how to beat them.

Read proper. I'm not asked people "why you downvote me", I asked them "Pls write an answer before downvote: why do you not agree with me, are you maining Riven or Hecarim, do you love to face them on toplane, do you love state of game right now."

So you think if you met some "garbages" (while every human being can be pissed off sometimes, and you cant call them garbage for that) all people are same? So you're wrong. All people are different.

Mate I player all this champions, and I wrote why they're OP. The point why I'm not playing them, because I don't like them. I want game to be fair. And that post is about it.

Btw Riot nerfed Heca already, and that means that I was right, and he's OP.

Because I disagree with your opinion. The game is not perfectly balanced by any means, but it's definitely better balanced than you believe, and I defy you to balance a game as large as League better than Riot's team.

So you think if you met some "garbages" (while every human being can be pissed off sometimes, and you cant call them garbage for that) all people are same? So you're wrong. All people are different.

All people are different, but after experiencing this literally more than a hundred times, it's impossible to deny that there's a pattern. Certain mannerisms in these threads can determine what kind of person the writer is. It's not 100% accurate, but it's not blind either.

Mate I player all this champions, and I wrote why they're OP. The point why I'm not playing them, because I don't like them. I want game to be fair. And that post is about it.

After telling me to "read proper" and mangle multiple sentences, I'm going to assume you're either ignorant of irony, or you don't speak English as a first language.

In either case, you named five champions that I haven't seen in pub queues for a while, and you exaggerated their advantages. You made one or two completely irrelevant comparisons. You didn't put any thought into explaining how they're overpowered, just saying you believe they're overpowered because of Irelia's stun and sustain, Volibear's burst and self-heal, Hecarim's E for some reason, Riven's all-in damage, Cho'gath's burst (comparing it to Annie but conveniently forgetting how avoidable it is) and Lee Sin, who hasn't been a problem even before Riot made Cinderhulk.

You didn't explain how those things are actually overpowered, you just said they're overpowered as if it's a matter of fact and cannot be debated, which is arrogant and ignorant.

Btw Riot nerfed Heca already, and that means that I was right, and he's OP.

Nerfed him? Sure, they moved him out of top lane, but you'd have to be a bit of a loon to consider that a nerf.

League is currently in a tank meta, and it is FAR more enjoyable than S2 or S3's tank meta. Diversity in picks has improved slightly over the course of the season, and honestly, with their current philosophy of making weaknesses more pronounced instead of watering down strengths, we'll see MORE diversity.

This is because if champions have similar strengths but different weaknesses, there still may be a reason to pick both, depending on the circumstances. Just nerfing both's strengths leaves one being strictly superior to the other.

JAGMAG1 votes

I understand how you feel i felt the same way at one time. However i don't suggest stop playing till its balanced because we have to face it this game will never be truly balanced, and once these guys are nerfed someone else will come along and be op. so what can you do? my suggestion would to be to take these "op" characters and learn a counter pick or two to them at least one for lane and another just in general. because even the op champs have a counter you just have to find it (by going into google and typing who counters champ x) and learning it. the great thing about counters is you don't even have to learn them well usually. i have counters i almost always beat the other champion with but i only play that champion as a counter and am not that good with them but they counter the other. hope that gives you some ideas :3

tl:dr learn counters even if its just for the sake of countering

dEAdbUs2 votes

Man I played enough to say that Heca can be counter only by Shyvana. But Shyv is not what I like. Riven has no true counters, she can be only outplayed and only with small champions pool.

I know why Riven is not nerfed yet - too many other things to nerf, and she's hard to balance right now: no resources, passive that gives you bonus AD for bonus AD etc. Her kit in state that it can be only overpowered or overnerfed and not balanced. So Riven needs some rework. But it doesnt make me feel better.

JAGMAG1 votes

well old ryze countered her pretty hard (not sure about new ryze) i never lost lane to riven as ryze always went at least even i would just rune prison her every time she tried to jump at me theres also pantheon, jax and garren for riven

dEAdbUs1 votes

New Ryze sucks =( Garen simply sucks - without move slow on Randuin he's useless in lategame. Jax now has not best time, and he depends on mana while Riven has no resources. Panth is not good too i guess - same resource problems.

JAGMAG1 votes

idk if he sucks i haven't played him but hes hard carried a few games ive seen and yeah all those champs need mana so do allot of champs you should know how to mange mana also if you take teleport it makes it easier so you can go back when your low on mana (btw chogath is really strong and if you cant hit your silence riven would get wrecked)

dEAdbUs1 votes

Read my post - Cho is in OP list. It's hard to manage mana when you have trade with Riven every time she has Q. And if you wont trade she will zone you, so its tricky to play vs Riven.

JAGMAG1 votes

im not arguing that shes a hard match up i cant take anyone top against her and win but i know i can counter pick a riven and win lane with several champions

insaiyanbacca1 votes

just pick renek she cant zone you cant trade you and you can kill her and he has no resources

MLDzXnRRR1 votes

Heca eats riven. Btw I'm sick of Cassiopeia - every time I see one, she gets so fed and starts to 2 shot people with her "e".

dEAdbUs1 votes

Burst her down. If she's not going glass cannon she won't do much damage until 30 mins. Or take something will long range.

If Cass on top she can be pain, so you better to take something that can farm safe under tower.

She is like the old Ryze, but deals more single target dmg. You can go with Cass with the tanky mana build, get Abyssal and Zhonya and be unkillable monster with better sustained dmg than adc (until you go oom ofcourse)

Beddlam1 votes

So you named 4 top laners that must be viable because you claim they are OP, then you have Maokai andRumble who are very strong in the meta right now, and MonkeyKing who has the highest win rate in solo Q top lane right now. Heimerdinger who is a strong counter-pick to certain champs, and Cassiopeia and Tryndamere who are nightmares in the right hands. Honestly top-lane might be the healthiest spot on the map at this point. If you have that much of a problem with Hecarim and Riven play draft, where you can ban them out.

dEAdbUs1 votes

I have more than 700 games with Heimi in rankeds, don't tell me about him. He can't do anything vs Heca. He can't do much vs Riven. Irelia simply can ignore Heimer, farm safe and TP around map. I ban Seju, Heca, Voli, Cho and LB. Trynd is not my style - he has too risky gameplay for me. I tried Cass on top, she's not so good imho. I tried Mao, but he's more about teamplays not for carrying soloQ. However I want to try Rumble once.

Dont see Wuk here, same about monthly: http://www.lolking.net/charts?region=all&type=champion-winrate&range=weekly&map=sr&queue=1x1&league=gold http://www.lolking.net/charts?region=all&type=champion-winrate&range=weekly&map=sr&queue=1x1&league=platinum

As a Garen main I have few issues with Riven and Cho'Gath, and the Hecarim matchup is difficult but not impossible. If played correctly Garen completely counters Irelia in lane, however Volibear wrecks him. Lee Sin, while still quite strong, is completely predictable and does not do as well against tanks and bruisers early as he does against squishy targets.

Now, I've mained Garen since Season 1, and have seen him while he's strong and while he's weak. I love a challenge, so when someone new comes to terrorize top lane I put in the effort to learn that matchup and figure out how Garen can win it. There is always a way if you're willing to learn. You can't always win lane, but the laning phase is only a small portion of the overall game.

Just don't get caught up in the strengths of "OP" champions. Anyone can list a champion's strengths and make them sound OP. Just focus on what you can learn from the current game you're in and work to apply that to winning future games.

dEAdbUs1 votes

Garen sucks in late anyway. Sure he can survive laning phase, but lately he wont do much. You better to figure out how to win Kalista and Vayne with Garen. Some people can win lane always (very close to "always") - this is their job. People call them "boosters". Or Challengers that had unlucky seeding and found then in Gold. Or smurfs - check, every pro have at least 5 accounts.

Don't talk like OP is a mythic term. Some champions are obviously stronger. You can think that I'm complayining only because I met em, and they beaten me. I tried em all, I've seen them from both sides, so I know what I'm talking about.

redniwediS1 votes

Garen is strongest in the mid game, but he does not fall off late unless you're crazy behind. Times have changed, and Garen is back. Vayne has to get carried by her support when Garen is around, however Kallista is a problem for every melee that doesn't have a dash. You say you've "tried em all" yet the way you talk about Garen makes me think you haven't played him since Season 3.

Now you have to realize there's a difference between a champion being over powered and simply being strong. Champions are allowed to be strong after all. Truly OP champions get nerfed rather quickly, however what people call OP is often just a champion being strong while in a meta that does not support their counters. Unfortunately for you the champions you mentioned do have counters that are supported by the current meta.

You can't just call a champion OP and leave it at that, you have to understand why they are strong and whether they are actually overpowered or just in a good situation. You may not have meant it to be like this, but your original post is just a list of complaints about different champions.

If your playing for fun play what you want...if your playing to win pick Meta champs...

Edit: *Learn to play the Meta champs

Game will never be balanced, just play the strongest champs, reason why many pick specific champs like cho and riven is they are better then most. Once meta changes there will be a whole new set of strong champs that are a must ect ect, always and will always be that way just adapt.

just play the damn game if you arent enjoying it then don't play it

That's all I needed to read to see there's nothing of importance here.

But what I was planning to say: There will never be true balance. The game evolves too fast for it. We'd have to lose out on our regular content for "true" balance. And even then, people would find ways to exploit whatever they can. You might as well uninstall (I've always wanted to say that), because we'll never have perfect balance.

Salidfingers1 votes

The question would be,

What are you doing to not win your lane.

feedertrash1 votes

Balance will never come.

Riot intentionally keeps the game unbalanced to extend the life of the game.

You can however, improve and/or play the broken champions.

Best of luck to you in either case of staying or leaving.

idk what your talking about ive never had problems with any of the champs you stated, irelia isnt even a big deal for me usually i rarely see her anyway, voli ok hes annoying but not undefeatable he just has a good early lane mostly and hes better jungle tbh, hecarim you cant trade with? ok i can understand the complaint ehre as most of ym top lane picks for when i wanna be more serious are lane bullies that absolutely terrorize heca otherwise it is a hard lane, riven ok she may seem op ive actually never played her but ive played against her enough to know how to defeat her its actually fairly easy and can be destroyed multiple ways depending on what your doing if you know they picked riven(like in draft pick or ranked) you can just pick an easy counter to her you can play(darius,j4,renek,kha yes kha his lvl 1 is better then hers with use of bushes, xin, trynd) if you didnt get this chance (like say in teambuilder) you just play a little safer then normal riven punishes most over aggressive players. as for your lee sin complaint i dont even understand that lee sin isnt that hard to deal with hes even outclassed by alot of tanky junglers atm.

Reverbe1 votes

I've not upvoted nor downvoted yet because i don't really understand the problem exactly. Is your issue that there are "OP" champs in top lane or that your champ seems UP?

I agree, a lot of these champs are currently really strong in solo queue right now. Often times a good Riven or Irelia can single-handedly carry a game if they are really good. However, I have a few comments on this. Firstly, there's usually a reason they re allowed to get out of control in solo queue. If Riven is left alone in a lot of matchups, she can snowball. However, if she's kept down early, she's almost irrelevant in late game. Same goes for Irelia as her pwoer spike is in mid game. Keept that out of reach, and its a 4.5 v 5. Secondly, it's not like only other players can play these strong champions. You can pick them up yourself and master them. The meta changes and of course certain champs will be stronger than others because of this. The game is League of Legends, not League of insert your favorite champ here. There is no guarentee that the meta will favor your favorite champion. I'll say that Wukong is easily my favorite champion in the game and will always be. When was the last time I played him in solo queue? Probably 1.5 years or 1000 games ago? I'll eagerly await the day when the early-mid game Wukong will be a snowballing wrecking machine, however, until that day, I'm going to try to master as many other champions as possible. Just my two cents.
