MMR gaps are bad for the game and here is why
To balance the game Riot has decided that one team (I don't know which right now) on the map has a higher MMR than the other team.
I am gold 2 This makes it possible for me to play 1 game versus a full plat team and the next game against a full silver team. Meaning that the MMR gap between both games is huge, but also the skill is so much different that it feels like you are playing a totally different game.
In the game against the lower elo players you can do all kinds of weird stuff, while in the game against the higher elo players you suddenly can't do these things anymore and you get destroyed. Now ofcourse you can say that you should notice the difference and adapt and in my case I have LSI a program that shows the enemy's elo and it's very helpful, but for the majority of players who don't have this software or do not want to look it up it's very confusing, making them doubt their ability and unable to learn the proper way of playing, because you can YOLO one game and the next game you get out of the blue steamrolled by your opponent.
This created very onesides games and if you ask me is destroying the current matchmaking. Besides A full gold 2 team versus a full Plat 5 team doesn't seem right. Maybe G4 vs G2 could be fair, but the difference between G2 and Plat 5 is a lot bigger, especially when you get games where some laner is silver 1 and the opposing enemy is plat 5. Imagine if you are support, how helpless you are to do something about that laning phase if the mid laners have this huge skill gap. It's just not right and should be fixed. When DQ was implemented and people started complaining Riot wanted to fix things, but this is not fixing, this a case of 'If you can't make it good, make it look good'
