Why does Riot so heavily favor AD bruisers and tanks?
They are all unkillable, have extreme mobility, damage, items like
made only for them like wtf

nasus has extreme mobility wat?
yea dunno about the tanks bit, but the ad bruisers and melee carries are definitely overtuned
I get they kind of have to be in order to not get kited into oblivion but I'd really rather they get better smarter ways to engage so they can fight toe to toe and not need 3-4x the damage they should have in order to be viable.

Alas, this is what happens when you keep giving people like Leblanc and Zed ultra mobility....
some of us are specifically designed to not be able to engage though
but they all have dashes. what do they do if not engage with their dashes?
not all bruisers have dashes tho
can't think of one off the top of my head that doesn't.
for starters
those aren't bruisers. olaf is barely a bruiser, if at all. they're tanks, subclass fighters and juggernauts.
what do you think a bruiser is, exactly

A tank with style!!!! :)
Completely wrong.

OP
Yea you couldn't be any more wrong. Bruisers = fighter.
All of the champion that Big Lincoln named are in fact bruisers and none of them are tanks. If you want to know about correct class and subclass terminolgy look here.

The link you provided does not have bruisers as a category. If you are going to call someone out and reference a source, get that source's terminology correctly. They are listed as juggernauts. By the way any one of those champs He listed can very easily go full tank if need be.
The link you provided does not have bruisers as a category.
Yes it does. You can search a page with "Strg+F" for "Bruiser". Without the "". In case you are unable to do this here goes:
"Bruiser: A champion with high effective health and damage per second. See fighter." (use strg+f to find this entry)
"Fighter: A hybrid champion between tanking and DPS that combines the survivability of a tank and the damage of a DPS or a caster. They were formerly called Bruisers."
That means that Riot is not going to list Bruisers because that term does not exist anymore, instead they use "fighter" but "fighter" and "bruiser" mean the same exact thing. None of these champions have enough CC/utility to qualify as either a Warden or Vanguard, therefore they cannot be tanks.
bruisers are champions like
that have good single target dps, tank, and disruption. they are meant as engagers and all of them have dashes and some form of self defenses to survive while their team follows up. they CAN go tank builds and be useful but their cc is minimal and their base damages are usually average with good bonus scalings, so they need to go at least one or two damage items in order to be useful even if one of those is a sterak's.
that's a bruiser. another subclass of figher on the less tanky scale than juggernauts
if you mean figher, say fighter, and don't berate me for properly using terminology when you're thinking of something else. (not you btw al I'm referring to lincoln but also you if you wanted reference on my position)
So basically Divers.
more accurately, yes more widely called, no.
By widely called do you mean by the community?

Again, here is the full list of classes and subclasses: http://euw.leagueoflegends.com/en/news/game-updates/gameplay/taking-another-look-subclasses
And here is the previous list that is now outdated: http://na.leagueoflegends.com/en/news/game-updates/gameplay/dev-blog-classes-subclasses
Neither of the lists use the word "bruiser" which indicates that the word is outdated. I have cited the reputable lolwiki that clearly says that "fighter" and "bruiser" share essentially the same definition with bruiser simply being the outdated term for fighter although it is still occassionally used. Source: http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/League_of_Legends_terminology#Fighter
I see that you disagree but from my point of view you simply made that definition up on your own - and I don't think that you have the authority to do so.
Your definition fits the "Divers" - which is a "Fighter" (aka "Bruiser") subclass. I have provided sources for everything I said so I invite you to do the same.
ah a riot fanboy I don't think I'm being arrogant in calling it what everyone in the community knows them as even though riot desperately tries to change the lingo. they're still called adc as well you know. and I don't need sources, it's what it's always been called.

The community called it Bruiser, nowadays it's Fighter because Riot renamed it. The definition has always been the same: high damage + high HP. Everything else you said does not apply for every bruiser and never has.

Everyone talks about damage and tankiness but nobody talks about them having dashes. You are not the community.

tanks with extreme mobility
extreme is one way to put it. they all have a dash of relative size to them, not the biggest ever (zac excluded o'course) but I see what you're talking about.
however GA wasn't really made for them and neither was thornmail, they want to get in, dump some cc, and hope to last long enough to get out again. thornmail was more meant for the main tank like malphite who likes take it with a sunfire cape and/or randuin's to sit on the carry and keep them down so they can't hit the rest of the team.
You spelled ranged bot-lane ADCs wrong.
Why does Riot so heavily favor AP mages and bruisers?
They are all unkillable, have extreme mobility, damage, items like (insert every AP item except Athene's here) made only for them like wtf
See how that doesn't work?
I feel that the most favored role is assassins. As long as there are millions of assassins in bronze and silver that complain when they cant mindlessly oneshot everything RIOT will keep making them easier and easier.
I see you play Shaco, he is fun but not well represented enough to be OP often. If you want an easier time may I suggest Talon, Fizz and Kha'Zix.
You realize it's literally the complete opposite, right?
Most of the assassins in the game are currently shit-tier and are continuing to stay as such because Riot panders to ADCs and has done so for most of the entire history of League.

What? The whole rework made assassins less able to assassinate people. The only assassin with win rates that really need to be looked at for a nerf right now is Talon. The rest are either ok or need a buff.
