PSA: Don't get mad when you get yelled at for being non-meta

Jefftiffy··4 votes·1,127 views

When you pick something like fucking Teemo jung, go AD with devourer when the enemy team has a fucking Volibear jung. And don't try to pass the blame on your top lane or any other lane for the matter when you fed the jungler 3 kills and the jungler then proceeds to camp top lane and steam roll it.

When you do something that stupid in ranked you deserve every little bit of anger thrown your way. Why? Because you made the game pointless for 4 other people.

It's like going Vlad jung and not feeding then blaming your team, but you have done nothing in the game. (I did vlad jung once like 2 seasons ago. it sucked and I managed to not feed, but the game was still stupid hard and that was with a 5 man)

PSA: don't be a dick.

If you want to go freaking Veigar support, go ahead, as long as you don't take CS, buy a support item, etc. and not purposely sabotage your teem, then its k.

Remember: picking non meta is not banneable, toxicity and verbal abuse is.

Damn straight.

Do keep in mind that there is a huge difference between offmeta and trollpick. Brand jungle? Karthus Jungle? Off meta, sure, fine. Teemo jungle? Go for it.

I highly suggest AGAINST going Janna jungle though.

As someone who has jungled janna before, it works surprisingly well.

I'm sorry but I said nothing until I watched him and his "ganks" where he awkwardly walked up through a warded and just Q aa'd someone once and then chased them and sat on the outer edge of their tower and sapped xp from me for about a minute. I was more pissed near the end of the game when he had still failed to accomplish anything in the entire game. He had no influence and might as well of not existed.

I mean really. Angry does not equal flaming. When I say our teemo is useless when he is doing nothing. It is a fucking fact. And if Riot says its toxic. Well guess what? It isn't. It's a fact and you can't say otherwise toxic is when you purposely do something that angers somebody else if you "off-meta" pick and suck ass you are even more toxic because you are making a joke of a competitive system. You don't go teemo jung when somebody like Graves or Kindred exist and fill AD deverourer teemo much better.

Sounds like he was just a bad jungler then. Let's say he was playing Lee Sin jungle and the exact same thing happened. Would this thread still exist? Hell no. There's a difference between a player being unskilled and a bad pick. Teemo jungle CAN work, given the player is skilled enough. Your Teemo jungle wasn't, and since you're looking for somewhere to place blame for your loss, you blame the off-meta pick.

You are absolutely within your rights to be angry at him for giving you a bad game, but that doesn't justify being a jerk to him. You don't have to express your anger to him. No one would ever blame you for getting annoyed at a blatantly bad player. You will get blame only if you try to make his experience worse because you're angry at him, and that is exactly what raging at him does.

When I say our teemo is useless when he is doing nothing. It is a fucking fact.

That does not matter. It's literally completely irrelevant, because even if we grant you that it's true, you don't need to vocalize it to him. He didn't ask for your input. No one wanted your input. It wasn't necessary, and it isn't improving anyone's experience. The only purpose that telling him he's bad serves is to make try and make him angry or unhappy. Nothing else is accomplished.

You don't get to go off on somebody because they play poorly. It doesn't matter how much they suck. It's not your place to call them out on it, particularly if you're doing it because you're pissed. Nothing good can come of it.

This is everything that is wrong with this game. This mentality belongs in normals, not in ranked play.

I would 100% rather play with the most toxic player imaginable that knows their role and plays the map correctly than any "polite, mature" person that goes 0/10 in lane.

I can mute toxic if it is absolutely required, I can't fix stupid.

but a time off in the ban chair will fix that attitude

If he would have been 3/0 instead of 0/3 would you have even made this thread? I seriously doubt it.

He would of waited until a non meta champ does bad Then make this thread. I don't see people doing that with meta champs that tend to feed more.. mhm.

If i want to go non meta i have a right to do it ranked or not ( not that i would ). Try and report that. Every champion is viable for any role. Meta is just something that's more common and socially acceptable. If it turns out to suck...well maybe trying it in normals first would've been a good idea... But telling someone they deserve the anger is harsh.

CrazFight 2 votes

Honestly alot of the times its not the "out of the meta" champs fault, people like a scape goat where they can place all there blame. A non meta champ can go 15-7-14 and be called a feeder and the reason they lost, mean while they forget about the mistakes they make.

I bet with this post rather than accomplishing your goal of finding people that accept your post to be correct, you'll find people that blame you for teemo going ad devour in the jungle. Glhf

No he was planning on it the entire time. Even said so in champ select. I really hoped he was kidding.

Out of meta champs that were once seen as troll but ended up being good (at some point) ~ Tanky AD fizz top/jungle ~ Full tank akali ~ Devour jungle kog maw ~ Full ad skarner (I loved you season 4<3) Experimentation leads to finding op things. I see nothing wrong with playing out of the meta champs.

LiveYiOrDieHard1 votes

Jungle Teemo and jungle Vlad are not even remotely similar in viability. Just accept that you are an awful judge of viability and stick with your metasheep champions and let your teammates make their own picks.

I've seen Teemo jungle shit-stomp the whole game.

Played Azir bot lane both in place of an ADC and as support on multiple occasions.

Got flamed.

/ignore all

Carried the game.

Don't tilt your teamates and things just might work out. Sure, it was low ELO and I'm sure you'll use that gold badge of your's against me for it, but meta doesn't mean the only way to do things. It's just the most popular way of doing things. 1-trick-ponies can generally get the job done better than a jack-of-all-trades guy who does nothing but follow the FotM champs in the meta because that's something you supposedly have to do.

Tank Akali would've never been a thing if someone didn't pick it when it was "off-meta." The same with bruiser Fizz. Or any tanky/bruiser assassin for that matter.

Some non meta picks do work. Sometimes, others like to blame the non meta pick for a loss even if it is working. Breaking the meta is how new metas a born. I find it funny, I broke the meta once and lost lane because I got camped while my botlane, both playing according to the meta, lost lane because they sucked. They didn't get ganked at all since the enemy jungler camped me. Or another time when I broke the meta and it worked so well and my midlaner who was playing according to the meta was losing lane and still complained about me breaking the meta. Funny thing was, I carried that game.

I think you're confusing "non-meta" with trolling.
