It has been a long time since I didn't read complaints about Zed

Has everyone realized now that Zed is balanced?

On my opinion, even before the recent nerf, Zed wasn't that much of a problem as everyone said. Yes, he could harass you during lane phase and roam, but he was only a problem during early-mid game. Zed falls off late game so hard... Also, once you get Zhonya/QSS, it's impossible for Zed to kill you.

He has very poor teamfighting potential and he is useless if he is behind. Also, he has to build full damage to be useful, which means that he is easy to kill during fights.

He has never been a problem for me. Also, he is easy to counter. I like to pick champs such as Fiddlesticks and Fiora against Zed.

Any thougths?

Zed is still one of the new breed of ultra-safe champions who will always be a good pick for every team comp. That is my problem with him. Even if he had a lane where he lost most of the time playing normally, he is so absurdly safe with his ranged harass and farm that you can never punish a Zed unless he overcommits.

It's not good design, playing against a Zed is "hope he makes a stupid mistake, and don't make any yourself."

While Zed is technically a general pick, he isn't for every composition. He is at best in early/mid game team compositions, where you can take advantage of an enemy's weak early game.

You must finish the game quickly because Zed tends to become worthless.

Those are assassins' weakness, not exclusive to Zed.

And that summarises the problems people have with him.

Nope. Ekko is just worse, so he's getting all the attention.

Assassins aren't meant to be effective in teamfights to begin with, Kat is more if an exception (she only 1 shots the entire team when she's super fed) and that's mostly it.

Assassins are meant to be building most to full damage since their job is to 1 shot after all.

Assassins are also meant to be behind forever once they're behind early, since they have stronger early game after all.

So essentially, besides the class weaknesses, Zed has no other issues his players have to deal with. And that's the problem people have with him, he doesn't have a downside.

When you play against Zed what do you do, you hope his player is a retard. That's where the problem is, right there.
