How do I make my "macro play" better? Can I get some examples/help on the subject?

Ive been looking a lot recently for best ways to climb, and Ive gotten a bunch of the same answers: play an easy champ/learn to play one role and only that role and dodge if you get autofilled; CS well; and use macro play to your advantage.

I dont necessarily play easy champs, but I have mastered (as in, got mastery 7) my main champions (Fiora for top, Ekko/Zoe for mid, Shyvana for jungle, and I have a wide champion pool for support since its easy (if i get ADC I ask for a switch or i dodge, i dont fuck with adc)), so Im comfortable with my champion skills in terms of where i am elo-wise

I would say that I have good and consistent CS with the champions I play (with the exception of LeBlanc and Zoe, but I dont play either of them very often anymore). According to op.gg, I average 201.6 cs/game with Fiora and 182.3 cs/game with Ekko

Im not worried about my champion skill for my elo or my cs game, but I still dont know how to improve my macro play. A bunch of diamonds that I have friended on my account always say to look at the basics and to work on macro play, but i dont know what it means or how to "improve" it or anything really.

I guess thats why you could I'm hardstuck bronze but im really just loooking for some advice from the people of the boards and some examples or suggestions or anything tbh.

Thanks for reading and any help is appreciated!

you can't think of improving one aspect yet. You need to improve everything at your skill level.

you need to focus on:

wave managment. map awarness. trading skills. roaming skills. keeping track of the enemy jungler. teamfighting skills(when to go in, IF to go in, what to do, etc...) objective play and builds.

if you want more details on how to improve them tell me.

if you want a feedback system try lol blitz desktop app, which can guve you analysis of your team and the enemy team. plus after every game can give you good things and bad things like this: https://imgur.com/a/9JLZ4fO

keep in mind that it has very little "the bad" things, so aim for the most good things

Tbh all of those things are way out of bronze league, with exception of map awareness which is thing to focus on in every Elo.

thank you for the response! I would actually love to hear from you on how to do most of the things you mention more efficiently.

1 I have watched many videos on wave management (freezing, shoving, etc.) but still dont quite have the hang of it 2 My map awareness is meh... meaning sometimes im super alert and other times i just autopilot and just focus on my screen rather than the map, trying to improve with this too. 3 I think i have good trading skills down for my main champions at least. I know a lot of my matchups and know when to get out, but sometimes I overstay and thats something else I need to work on 4 As a top laner, i dont roam very often. As a mid laner, I try to roam as much as i can, usually when im winning lane. If im losing lane, i usually just stay in my lane and farm bc i dont want to risk feeding the enemy bot or top laner 5 Same category as the map awareness one above 6 My teamfights with Ekko, i think, are fairly decent. I always try to land a W (stun) and then go straight for whoevers fed, unless theyre a tank (so i usually almost always go for the adc, squishy jungler, or opposing midlaner. With Fiora, its a little more tough, since I have no crowd control I dont expect to come out of a 5v5 alive, since i usually engage or the other team lands a stun or hook on me. I try to ult the fed enemy (even if theyre tank, bc true damage) and take them out asap, im not very successful with this however 7 Lastly, i think i need to work on obj control too... especially as support. I always look at the respawn timer for dragon, enemies, teammates, baron, etc. but i dont usually play around them if you catch my drift (another thing to work on lmao). When referring to builds, i usually have a core set of 2 or 3 items per champion then I build around the enemy team, which i think is right? im not too sure tbh

Anyway, i aprpeciate you taking the time to read this and hopefully respond

Thanks!

If your trying to get better break that autopilot habbit. It's a horrible one.

But seriously. Play Annie. If you wanna get better take away anything that can distract you. And Annie is the simolelist champion in the game. And then focus on everything except for what your champion doesn't cause Annie doesn't take any mechanics.

Ask yourself "what should I do next" every time you go back to base, and think about it. Think about who is fed, who is behind. Think about objective respawn timers. Think about who is level 6 on your team, who is level 6 on the enemy team. Think about wave positions. Don't leave base until you have a plan for the next couple of minutes. The more you do this, the faster it will be. After a while, it won't take long at all

Thank you for the response!

I will def try this strategy in my next games (norms obviously lol, too much of a risk in ranked for a new strat), and hopefully it will help me with my gameplay.

Thanks for the help :)

Oh that's easy! Your kill participation is atrocious. Combined with your decent farm it means, you farming while your team playing 4v5. That is usually a low Elo ADC syndrome, but you seems to suffer from it as well. You farm in early laning phase is most probably bad and you compensate it by "afk farming" which you perceive as split pushing. But your split push is ineffective, not even plat players can decently split push. Be there for your team and you will easily climb out of bronze, assuming you farm well early and don't feed. You can save replay on a op.gg if you want, taking look at it I could give you way more information.

Yes I see that my KP is very bad lol... i had not noticed that before. I play heavy split pushing champions (mainly talking about ekko and fiora) so its also true that Im not with my team a lot of the time.

So basically what youre saying it have more map presence, and ill have a higher chance at winning games? That actually does make sense, so thank you for helping me out in that aspect!

btw, i tried to find a way to get a previous game from op.gg to reply to you with, but was unsuccessful... as in idk how to do it lmao

Yes, be there for fights and you will climb. Watch the map, look for what enemy and your team want to do, when they about to start a fight, move there. When the game start, in first 5 minutes, you need to click on "live game" and there is a record button.
