He's been in a terrible spot ever since the balance team removed his resetting ult, is he getting reworked now that Sion rework is over because I remember hearing that after Sion rework another "bloke" will receive a rework then Yorick is right after that, is that bloke Darius?

Darius is the only bruiser with no natural tankiness or sustain in the entire game, having slightly higher base stats DOES NOT make an impact late game. Him building only tank makes his ult do roughly 720 true damage late game with runes and masteries. He doesn't have his resetting true damage ult which was what his ENTIRE kit revolves around. An idea was to make his ult like Yasuo's E, fully resets on kill but he can't use his ult on the same person for the duration of the cool down, cdr reduces this.

I don't know what you're talking about. It can be used again after a kill with a -20 second- window. That's huge. For all intents and purposes, it still resets during team fights.

Also, Darius' role is a shredder. He has natural armor pen and a passive that will bleed out (get it?) a lot of champs unless they're building super tanky. One or two defensive items on him is all you need.

Be glad that Darius has a 120 second execute ult at rank 1 that does true damage and can be used in succession to mop up teamfights. It could be 160 seconds with no recast time on kills.

first off i need to get this out of the way: Darius' ult is not an execute

to OP, i remember morello saying that they abandonned the rework idea for the time being and that they would look to give him slight buffs in the meantime

I love Darius the way he is. His kit fits & playstyle fit his persona very well. Try running Ghost & Flash on him, with distortion boot enchants he teamfights extremely well.

I disagree with this; in fact, 1 or 2 DAMAGE items is all you need. Darius doesn't have the mobility to facilitate assassin like gameplay, he needs tank items to survive fights. You should definitely build some damage on him, because of his high Bonus AD scaling, but you can't play this guy like a glass cannon against competent opponents.

I often only build a Cutlass or Phage in lane phase for damage & catch potential, then prioritize armor/ mr, health, CDR, and move speed. My normal build is:
