AP itemization suggestions: Banshee's Veil and QSS

item 3102 was changed in the tank update around midseason 7, along with multiple other tank item changes and ADC itemization buffs.

item 3065 : 500 Health -> 450 Health 50 MR -> 55 MR

The changes to Spirit Visage were to make it more specialized against Magic protection than the more general protection the higher health offered.

But at the same time, Banshee's Veil was removed as a tank item entirely

item 3102: Cost: 2450 -> 3000 300 Health -> 0 Health +100% health regen -> +0% health regen 70 MR -> 60 MR 0 AP -> 70 AP

The change seems very odd, since Banshee's Veil already existed as a tank option specifically against burst Magic damage, even more specialized than Spirit Visage turned into, but was changed into an entirely different class item.

Which brings me to item 3140. With a 90 second cooldown, this MR item cleanses crowd control effects while building into a later physical damage item.

item 2419 builds into item 3193 item 3157 item 3026, which all have disparate effects separate from each other, but share the item in their build anyway.

If Guardian Angel can have a Stopwatch in its build path, why not add Quicksilver Sash to Banshee's Veil?

More to the point, I feel like Banshee's Veil should be split into two seperate items which both build from QSS.

A tank item, essentially what it was before the tank update, with the spell shield which blocks the first instance of damage to protect from burst, and a new item with its own passive shield.

item 3102 Banshee's Veil 2700g (item 3140 + item 3211 +200g) 70 Magic Resistance 300 Health +150% Health Regen +10% Cooldown Reduction Unique Passive - Veil: Grants a Spell Shield that blocks the next enemy ability. This shield refreshes after no damage is taken from enemy champions for 30 seconds.

And the AP item

item 3461 Quicksilver Orb 3000g (item 3140 + item 1052 + item 3108 +635g) +70 Ability Power +55 Magic Resistance +10% Cooldown Reduction Unique Passive- Veil: Grants a Spell Shield that absorbs the next crowd control spell on your champion. 90 second cooldown.

I'm not sure what would need coded to keep them interacting with each other besides making the passive uniquely named, but the idea is to let mages have their cc protecting item while giving tanks back their anti-burst item.

Tanks already have their anti-burst item: Their entire goddamned build and kits.

Banshee's Veil was a trash-tier, useless item for tanks. Why? Because the stats and passive did not match at all. Tanks had almost literally no use for a spellshield, and the people who wanted it had no use for HPregen. It's (most of) the reason that Ohmwrecker is so shitty - its stats have absolutely no match to its ability.

70 MR and 300 health is very good. With the item's MR alone it grants an extra 510 effective health against magic attacks, and with higher health in addition to it (from say, keystones, runes, rune set bonus, and other items) it can be a more useful buy than any other for its slot efficiency. For physical damage, tanks have item 3075 item 3110 and item 3025 if they want high armor over more health, but there is no such option for magic resistance, with the best being the 55 from item 3065.

Ohmwrecker is a horrid comparison because there are items that grant strictly better stats, and its active is virtually useless with the pathetic state of turrets currently.

Each class is restricted to certain items because of the overall nature of the class --

Tanks don't get QSS/Banshee's/GA -- because they are able to soak up damage and and don't need to be able to block a specific spell or be CC immune

AP -- don't get QSS or GA because they are ranged CC burst dependent for the most part (sorry champs like Cass and Kayle)

AD -- gets QSS and GA because they either need to be able to do continuous damage (ADCs -- someone will complain for sure) or they need to get up close to do burst damage (assassins)

Would be nice if I could get some actual feedback instead of just downvotes, but that's the boards for you.
