So we nerf Ryze "free" root, but not Malzahar "free" suppression?

It's so annoying playing into Malz, you literally CAN'T roam mid to the sides if your sup / jungle are stupid. Or if we lane swap they just flash ult and I'm looking dumb on the side lane :\

malz's suppression is an ultimate.

Because Ryze can do other things while rooting you. Malzahar can´t do anything OTHER than Suppress you.

Malzahar's Suppression is an Ultimate Ability (as Naymlyss pointed out) and is not always immediately available, where as Ryze's Root is a basic ability & is available far more often.

It is unfortunate that Ryze is constantly being nerfed here & there (I actually played Ryze quite abit after the Ryze cinematic), however you can't compare a Basic Ability to an Ultimate one. If/when Kassadin receives a VGU in the future, I can definitely see Malzahar receiving a VGU to go along with it.
