You played a tank. Your goal isn't to deal the most damage. You need to use your cc to protect allies or to hit enemies in a position where your allies can attack them. And you barely ever got any objectives. If you never get any towers, dragons, or barons, you lose. Also 8/8/6 on a tank is really not good. If you could go something more like 4/2/20 or that kind of thing then you'd be way more likely to win.

  1. You died just as much as you got kills; you fed the enemy team just as much gold as you earned for yourself.
  2. Your team has a grand total of one objective under its belt.
  3. You don't even have the most gold
  4. You completely ignored your bot lane.

  1. It is likely he was extemely in the positive until his teammates failures cause the enemy team, all of them, to catch up with him.
  2. I'll bet good money that one objective taken was in his lane and his teammates never touched a tower.
  3. When you are trying to bail out your entire team your farming takes a dive.
  4. There is only so much ground you can reasonably cover in a given amount of time.

Your problem: Getting solo que'd with bad teammates. Solution: A-Move down mid lane repeatedly and force your teammates to carry you for a bit

It will be good for your stress if anything and (surrender / loss) bombing actually nets more IP over a shorter period of time then actually winning long games.

  1. When I left my lane enemies were 5-0 each one. It's very hard not to feed em in this situation.
  2. It's hard to take objectives from a team that far ahead.
  3. Should I?
  4. Not actually true, I came there when there was even all towers, but Luci ignored my help and just stand under his tower watching me dying.

I have the same issue. The problem is my teammates that I'm assigned.

I think it is because I perform so well the system expects that I can simply carry 4 players that are worse then dead weight.

People on the enemy team frequently comment at how "I'm carrying so much dead weight that it broke my back"

I think the big take away I see from that game in particular is you were playing a tank (Malphite) and yet you were 3rd on "damage taken" behind the Fizz and Eveynn. If you can figure out why that happened then you'll probably figure out some of your mistakes.

Looking at your other games on op.gg you are frequently NOT the highest damage or KDA. Overall your CS/min is also very low. Even when you deal a lot of damage or have the "best" KDA that KDA is rather poor. If you can't get a KDA above 3 then you really don't deserve to win the game.

They were too deep 24-7 and get caught whole game. My CS was low but comparable with Shen's who I faced. Btw Shen is very annoying to face, thx to new masteries and his endless sustain, so low cs is a result of that.

EUW.OP.GG says that I have 3.00 kda with Malph after 120 games.

Randomonium2 votes

But its not just that game. You routinely average less than 5 cs/min.

3.0 KDA with a 48% win rate seems about right for a tank like Malphite. With tanks you typically need to have a higher KDA to see results because they are much harder to kill. If you look at all your most commonly played champions your KDA is below 3 and for all of them your win rate is around 50% (+/- 5%.) The only exception to this is Taric where you have an average KDA of 3.78 and a win rate of 78%. This is more evidence that if you focus on dying one or two times less per game you will most likely see a nice improvement in your win rate.

I didn't start to climb at all until I got my KDA consistently above 3. Towards the end of last season I averaged around a 5 KDA and my win rate jumped up to 70%. I've also tracked stats for all my games since January 1, 2015 and the factor that determines whether or not I win more than anything is KDA. You might be different but KDA is a great place to start when trying to identify why you aren't climbing.

Show me your Malphs farm and KDA after then we'll talk. 50 cs? Support? Checked normal games in this preseason - I have same farm as you - about 160 in 30 mins. Checked op.gg - best Malph korean mainers have 20-30 more cs in 30 mins. Checked their KDAs - I have same kills, more deaths and more assists. Means I'm playing more with a team than usually koreans do.

  1. You're asking for help. This isn't a pissing contest. This is me trying to help you. I have plenty of problems that I am working on. The difference between us seems to be that you blame your teammates while I blame myself.
  2. I play malph mainly in the jungle (hence the low CS numbers.) However, if you look I have a 6.1 KDA with him which has resulted in a pretty high win rate (61%.) Compare that to other champions where I have a low win rate and you'll see my KDA is much lower. Its the same on your op.gg too. Your highest win rate champs are the ones with the highest KDA. KDA wins games. If you work on increasing your KDA (by lowering your deaths) you will see an increase in your win rate.
  3. 160 farm in 30 minutes is 5.3 cs/min. Looking at your past 19 games (which is all I can see on op.gg) you only went above 5 cs/min twice. In my past 20 games I went 5 cs/min (or better) 8 times and 11 of my past 20 games were played at support or jungle (where its near impossible to get >5 cs/min.) So there was only 1 game where I was top, mid or ADC where I wasn't above 5 cs/min. Keep in mind that 5 cs/min in my mind is pretty crappy. I feel like I am very bad at CSing and its something I'm really trying to improve on. There are plenty of high level players who average 8-10 cs/min.
  4. Korean pros MAY have lower KDAs and CS numbers because they have reached equilibrium. They aren't rising in rank anymore (or only very slowly.) In order to RISE in ranked you need to have much higher CS and KDA number than your opponents. Same thing can be said for stats like kill participation. If a Korean pro played against people at our level their stats would be off the charts. While you may be better than your allies or your opponents your difference in ability level isn't great enough for you to rise quickly. You need to stop blaming your allies and focus on the little mistakes you make. You should be your harshest critic. If you do that you will slowly make less and less mistakes over time and you'll see your win rate improve.

Decision making probably trash.

Game is a trash. Wrong decision was to start this match.

I'll tell you what you want to hear: It's not your fault, the only reason you lost was because you got matched with bad teammates, otherwise you did nothing wrong. Happy?

Good luck improving with that mindset.

dEAdbUs1 votes

Ok, you gave me good portion of sarcasm. It's better thatn giving common advices like "farm better" in sutiation when I had no any possibilities to farm better, because Shen was just punishing for every cs I was trying to take and was outrading me eveyr time I tried to trade. There is nothing I could do - that's his mechanics, there's mine. Maybe I'm wrong and you can say what I did wrong and how I could outfarm and outtrade Shen - this advice will make me happy. No sarcasm, I'm serious, I just don't know - he's like stone that you can't move away from your lane.

Changsty2 votes

In this matchup neither champ has any sort of kill potential on each other, so it becomes a farm lane. Shen has his sustain and your passive negates his only form of ranged poke. Your problem might be trying to force trades, which generally ends up in Shen's favor as lane sustain is one of his selling points. Shen does have piss poor waveclear so pushing the lane makes it harder for him to freely teleport, and you can use the space to do something elsewhere.

In all seriousness, there's only so much we can infer from end of game stats, so the only person who can fully analyse "what you're doing wrong" is yourself. Recognizing that not doing well in lane, losing farm and losing trades is a good place to start. My best advice for this particular case would be for you to play Shen a couple times. You'll get to know his pros and cons better, and if you get dumpstered you'll know how to counter a Shen the next time you see one.

dEAdbUs1 votes

Shen has more than enough killing potential, not like Riven, but he outtrades me - this means if I'll keep attacking him then I'll be much lower than he. He has not only poke, he has taunt that forces me to fight him and Grasp of the Undying that damages me for 3% of his max hp. Pushing for him is not a problem when he gets Sunfire. When I pushed lane it didn't create any problems for him either, he simply ulted someone and teleported back. Shen's only cons - he sucks in late game, because his damage is not high enough, but late game doesn't exist nowdays.

But I started to think same - if Shen is so great OP, mb I could rise elo with him....

I'm just speaking generally, but if you have top damage and top KDA but are losing the game, you may be either

  • Getting caught and shut down by the enemy, which removes all of your damage from the game and leaves your allies vulnerable (be careful when you are leading the kills chart, you become a high priority target)

  • Not sharing enough of the gold with your allies (try letting them grab some of the kills or staying with them to ensure they get assists)

  • Not using your damage advantage strategically enough (try roaming to other lanes more, or shoving in towers when they are undefended).

dEAdbUs1 votes

Actully enemies roaming around and killing everybody and me either.

Looking at this game in particular, I can only speculate:

  1. you need to be more objective focused. Try to motivate your team towards things like taking towers when the enemy team all go bot lane.

  2. I noticed you were like 3rd or 4th in damage taken as Malphite. Focus on peeling for your adc or mid lane carry if they are having trouble. For example, rather than initiating with your ult, try to just poke and harass the enemy, and save your ult for when they attempt to dive your carries. As the tank, you job is to draw attention and take the brunt of the damage or to peel for the adc/mid laner.

  3. Gank more. help your teammates get kills in their lanes and push for objectives, don't just immediately back after a kill unless you feel you are in imminent danger. Shove the wave in, take a few tower shots yourself if possible.

and 1 again) Objectives... Global objectives equals global gold (towers) or buffs (dragon). Get a lead and press hard to keep it. The longer you wait, the better chance your opponents have of keeping up.

Thats the best I can do from looking at that one match. Best of luck to you as you continue to play :)

dEAdbUs1 votes

75% of guys saying that my farm sucks so how am I supposed to gank, when Shen killing me on lane without chances, so I forced to at least keep my lane alive. Objectives are pretty tricky when they have global ults and bunch of mobile assassins.

disregardable1 votes

Not csing well.

dEAdbUs1 votes

Vs Shen who gonna be reworked soon because he can outsustain anyone?

disregardable1 votes

was a general comment. you don't cs well in any of your games. also, don't make excuses. you didn't cs well, full stop. it wasn't anyone else's fault but your own.

dEAdbUs1 votes

There won't be sense in csing if everyone could have maximum cs every game. Right now toplane is made of champions that zone you and prevent you from csing: Riven, Shen, Darius. They are super oppressive and must be punished for their hard pushing (and they will push if they want to zone you), but junglers come only high elo game, so they do it free without any payback. If you have any ideas how to cs in front of Riven with Thunderlord - I'll listen with pleasure. In most high elo matches that I've seen people prefer to play safe and miss some cs instead of risking to die (because you'll even more farm then). In pro-games they are farming jungle with jungler until they get level 3.

disregardable1 votes

As a tank or AP mage, you should reasonably be able to get 5-6 cs/minute, which is 50-60% of all the cs. More when you win lane. You mostly aren't even reaching that.

BluePolarizer1 votes

Shaco rekt all your lanes might be why you lost that game. At 13 minutes in, you lost:

dragon turret 3 kills to shaco

your teamfight is way better. even if you were behind, if you engaged properly you wipe them all. you didn't and lost 2 objectives and 3 kills = gg if the enemy team snowballed it... which they did. They converted a 300 gold lead before that fight to a 5000 gold lead 2 minutes after the fight.

SaltyKracka1 votes

Believe it or not, you can't actually win every game.
