Grievous wound comparison

item 3075 VS item 3165 VS item 3033

item 3075 Shitty buy, just buy rambles and you're good. Though it only lasts 1 second . . . why? Why doesn't the carry champion that is doing billions of damage at a second get his item changed to 1 second?

item 3165 Good sustain, good CDR, good ability power - but why does this item have a conditional grievous wound effect? . . . why? Why doesn't the carry champion that is doing billions of damage at a second get his item changed to 1 second?

item 3033 Gets to buy an instant Grievous wound effect for 800G, transforms into massive penetrations and 50 AD (that's basically Microeconomics) the Grievous wound lasts . . . F-fffffff . . .

5 Seconds.

Those who abuse lifesteal are either niche like Vladimir or an ADC like Draven who is doing billions of damage at a time - these buys are DIRECTED TO THESE PEOPLE. Why are we giving them the edge to prevent healing too?

I've heard it put that Grievous Wounds doesn't counter lifesteal, lifesteal counters Grievous Wounds.

Grievous Wounds was put into the game IIRC to mitigate healers like Soraka and Sona. It's a very old game mechanic that hasn't aged well.

item 3075 /item 3076 : Lasts one second because it is applied every attack, and tanks are not supposed to be damage champions. They are supposed to be taken down by consistent damage, so an item that punished carries for doing their job is unhealthy, ergo that part isn't as strong.

item 3165 : Not designed to combat heavy healers or lifesteal. It's supposed to prevent a target from healing up to much after you burst them while you wait for your cooldowns to come back up. That's why it has a conditional.

item 3033 : Consistent DPS is what is supposed to take down healers, so they get the item that best handles that.

Each item has it's own niche, and that's why they are different.

Healers die in 2 auto attacks, what do you mean? Consistent DPS? These items are designed to prevent healing -Period- and yet the person who lays down the most consistent damage over time with constant volley's of massive burst damage per second has the one that can last several seconds more over compared to the other ones.
