Ever thought about re-adding Mana Regen to Nashor's Tooth?

I think Mana Regen would smooth out a require for mages that would buy the item and can potentially lower the combine cost.

Build and stats be something like this: Nashor's Tooth: Recipe: Stinger (1250g) + Blasting Wand (850g) + Forbidden Idol (600g) + 300g = 3000g

Statistics; +80 Ability Power +40% Attack Speed +100% base Mana Regen +20% Cooldown Reduction +UNIQUE Passive: Basic attacks deal 15(+15%AP) bonus magic damage on-hit.

EDIT: Okay another idea that was given:

Nashor's Tooth: Recipe: Stinger (1250g) + Fiendish Codex (820g) + Amplifying Tome (435g) + 495g = 3000g

Statistics: +80 Ability Power +40% Attack Speed +20% Cooldown Reduction +UNIQUE Passive: Basic attacks deal 15(+15%AP) bonus magic damage on-hit. +UNIQUE Passive: Basic attacks restore 1% to 4% missing Mana on-hit based on how much Mana you are missing (double this value against champions).

I'm all for adding manaregen to nashors, but i would prefer to see it as an on-hit sustain that synergieses with Nashors purpose rather than the usually regen, that way the regen could be overall more effecktive as it's conditional.

You mean on-hit mana vamp - that be a good idea, i was just thinking of something that can be super quick and easy to do on the item that adds synergy to the overall mage role because if it has mana sustain in some fashion it can make a lot more viable builds and champions coming into play

A Bit too overloaded

Morellos is 700 gold cheaper - that 700 gold difference would be the attack speed since you can roughly have the passives equal value despite doing different things

I don't know the actual value of AS. But a dagger costs 450. and a completed Nasors has like 2 and 2/3s of that in AS.

It would seem like a net 300 gold increase in gold efficiency.

mana and mana regen has weird calculations; basically adding mana regen helps the item out without adding any power to it

attack speed is also another really weird calculation and kind of is easier to calculate over mana and mana regen but same time not really - since we are working the attack speed on an ap champion it makes it easier to balance also a lot weaker since attack speed is innately balanced around a marksman build - even with the nashor's tooth on hit passive the attack speed value is still a lot lower than if you had attack damage

all high tier items need to be gold efficient or they never get bought - or at least a way they become gold efficient via multiplicative stats like deathcap and infinity edge

so the short end of the sticker is mana sustain to nashor's tooth makes the item better for a certain class of mages that would get the item without adding any real power to the item --- meaning it would be balanced

so yea, this is a scenario where you cannot simply just look at add stat costs with a flat gold amount; since there are stats in the game that have very weird fluctuating gold values and is not simply black and white

Nashor's is a good item on Teemo - mana sustain however Teemo has no mana problems now so the value of the item would be unchanged for him - but helps someone like Twisted Fate, Orianna, and Diana because these are mana hungry champions that can use an AP on hit item
