Why is the jungle so feast or famine?

The jungle is an incredibly powerful role when ahead, but nobody talks about what its like when you get behind in the jungle. This is what the game feels like when you're behind in the jungle.

Clear your Blue->Wolves->Red and go top for a gank. Enemy counterganks and you and your top laner die. Feels bad man. Go back to clear the rest of your jungle and its gone. Enemy Graves took it all while you were dead. Feels bad man. Waste time running to the opposite side of the map to clear gromp because its the only camp left. Take consolation scuttle crab that gives no XP. Enemy Graves is ganking all your laners and you can't do shit because you're so far behind. Try to gank a lane but no dice. Slink away back to your jungle after falling even further behind after wasting time with the failed gank.

Millennia pass before your jungle starts respawning.

Time to get some farm! Just kidding. The now 3-0 enemy doesnt appreciate you farming his 2nd jungle. He dashes from around the corner and hits you with a Challenging Smite>Auto>Q>R combo that does so much damage that you die, respawn, and instantly die a 2nd time. At this point your laners are so far behind from the jungle pressure that they start taking your jungle. Top takes Krugs, Bot takes Gromp, and Mid takes chickens. Your laners are flaming you for being a "shit jungler" at this point. They take ever single camp they can at this point to ensure you can never catch up. With no jungle to farm you cave to the pressure and look for a lane to gank. Hmmmm enemy Jayce is pushed pretty far up. Press Tab and realize Jayce is level 7 and you're only level 5. Top laner is spamming for a gank. Is it worth even trying to explain that the 2-0 enemy Jayce is going to destroy me if I go anywhere near him?

Oh well. Nothing else to do at this point. Walk into top lane and the enemy Jayce immediately hits me with an E>Q>R>Q>W>E combo that deletes me so hard that it actually corrupts my registry. Reinstall windows, load back into the game, and my jungle still hasnt respawned. Ritoplzwhyudothistothejungle.jpg.

Proceed to be worthless for the rest of the game while being verbally assaulted for being "noob jungler no ganks"
