When are we getting a refund for Lethality and Hybrid Pen runes?

People took Armor Pen runes for early game power. However, Lethality is less than HALF as effective now at the exact point you took them for in the first place, early game.

We did not agree to purchase Lethality runes. We agreed to purchase flat Armor Pen runes. You also took Hybrid Pen runes down with them.

I am requesting you refund me the hard earned IP I spent on these:

  • Greater Mark of Precision: (Hybrid Pen) 820 IP x9 = 7380 IP

  • Greater Mark of Lethality: 410 IP x9 = 3690 IP

  • Greater Quintessence of Lethality: 1025 IP x3 = 3075 IP

#Thats a total of 14125 IP

That is A LOT of grinding. It's enough for two 6300 IP champs with change left over lmao.

You really should refund everyone who has Hybrid Pen Quints because they're in them for 6150 IP as well

If people still want to keep their Lethality runes even though they're nerfed to shit, they can simply just repurchase them for the exact same amount of IP that they get refunded.

AD was always better for the early game. Lethality runes are still much better for later in the game. Nobody gets a refund.

But what about penetration? I thought penetration runes were for the early game as well.

Penetration is like damage amplification by a percentage. So it gets better and better if you buy damage and rank up your abilitys. But without Level and items, flat AD is more effective.

AD - better in the early game and for last hitting/waveclear Penetration - better in the mid and late game. Lethality - like old penetration but even better in the late game, and even worse in the early game.

Not for heavy AD casters with high spell base stats and low +ad mods.

Which champions?

I prefer Armor penetration/Lethality, but because of the mid and late game, not because of the early game.

Real life analogy: you get to choose a prize after working hard for a few days of volunteering (say a small electronic device), then when your prize becomes obsolete you ask to refund it, AND refund it for not only a different prize for what was available, but credit for an even wider selection, including new stuff.

That entitlement is next level, like... what? Answer is: never. Reason is: obvious.

That analogy makes no sense.

It would be more like you get the prize, you liked it, then without your permission or input they went and replaced your prize with something similar but functionally different and more awkward to use. You would be absolutely right to get upset about that.

That's not entitlement, that's being upset that the thing you bought got fucked with.

It does make sense. Runes are absolutely free and based off of time spent in the game. If they deleted them completely that would be one thing, but what I suggested was a) why would Riot give you thousands of IP which you can then use to buy something potentially brand new like Camille that they make real money from?, and B) why would you ever actually expect this as an outcome you deserve? (this is where the entitlement is above the charts)

It's exactly like my example. If my work gave me an option to get a free tax or bookkeeping software, I don't turn around a year later when I don't like it anymore and say hey, I deserve a Best Buy gift card! The even more ridiculous thing with OP's want is that they definitely used the runes they mentioned, probably a lot (which may have led to a few S rank free chests too), and they're still there just not to their liking. Can I have a refund for champs I no longer like that got nerfed? No, nor should I.

He's not upset about the rune change, the key point in his post is he's upset he's not getting a refund.

It's not exactly like your example at all, because you didn't "just decide" that you didn't like your software one day, it was completely changed outside of your desire not unlike the forced Windows 10 updates. If I bought a car, was happy with it, then the manufacturer took my car and replaced it with a similar but different car, I absolutely would be pissed. It's. not. the. same. thing.

In any case, people probably should get refunds for reworked champions, since it's not the champion they payed for.

Well even if it was just me 'not feeling it one day', the company's obligation is unaffected, i.e. they don't have one.

I'd only accept OP's argument if he had bought the runes within a short time frame prior to the change, then he'd have a good point.

Same I bought T3 Armor pen marks. RIP

I want a refund as well. Lethality is garbage enough on items, I'd rather just have the flat AD

They didn't refund when Armor, mana regen, or MR were nerfed.

Armour pen was never taken for the early game. It was taken because it scaled better.
