So the results of my little experiment
I've played about 10 games of adc (I know, not a lot) over the past couple of days, on this account and my smurf.
Conclusions:
-
Not as many people tend to rush ardent censer as I've thought. I've seen a lot of thresh/blitz picks, a lot of Rakans (who didn't build censer), some Sorakas, and some Nami/Sona.
-
ADCs are still fairly weak to assassination. Well, certain assassins, anywhere. I've found that Kat and Zed had trouble getting to me safely while Fizz and Kha'zix can just burst me down instantly.
-
When I do have Ardent Censer buffing me, I'm busted. Combine this with locket + Knight's vow + redemption and it felt like I was unstoppable.
-
Taking turrets is very easy. It basically took two rounds of fully charged E as trist, and less than 10 seconds to take bot tower as Jinx (with support hitting tower too).
-
While Jinx only felt good when I had certain supports (like Rakan, Nami), Trist felt very safe to play with any support given her ridiculous peel and had good DPS, while Twitch.... well, I don't play AD, and he felt pretty oppressive. I felt I could just stealth, run into the enemy team, and press R to win.
tl;dr - ADCs are not as busted as people on the boards make them out to be. Enchanter build paths are pretty oppressive, however, as are the top ADCs, especially Twitch, followed by Trist/Kog'Maw.
