Hybrid Items Rework [Concepts]

By hybrid items I am just focusing on Hextech Gunblade and Guinsoo's Rageblade here. So hybrid items in the past will either be overpowering and not that great because of their hybrid stats and hybrid champions would need low ratios for they do not get super strong when they build a hybrid item. So my ideas will make these items have more of an identity and a more clear role and purpose to them which will be having them as more for on-hit builds; Hextech Gunblade will receive a mild change, while Guinsoo's Rageblade will be slightly more dramatic. (AP Varus anyone?)

Hextech Gunblade: Recipe: Needlessly Large Rod (1250g) + Hextech Revolver (1200g) + Vampiric Scepter (800g) + 250g = 3500g

Statistics: +100 Ability Power +25 Attack Damage +UNIQUE Passive: Heal for 20% of damage dealt from all sources of damage (one-third of this effect for multi-target spells). +UNIQUE Passive: If your total Attack Damage is greater than your Ability Power then deal an additional 10% Attack Damage on-hit as magic damage. If your Ability Power is greater than your total Attack Damage then deal an additional 10(+15%AP) on-hit as physical damage.

Guinsoo's Rageblade: Recipe: Needlessly Large Rod (1250g) + Recurve Bow (1100g) + 650g = 3000g

Statistics: +60 Ability Power +30% Attack Speed +UNIQUE Passive: Gain +4% Attack Speed on-hit for 6 seconds which stacks up to 10 times for a maximum of +40% bonus Attack Speed. Upon reaching 10 stacks your basic attacks deal a bonus 4% of their target's maximum health as magic damage on-hit. +UNIQUE Passive: Gain +4 Ability Power and +1 Attack Damage on-hit and on spell cast for 6 seconds which stacks up to 10 times for a maximum of +40 Ability Power and +10 Attack Damage.

That would make Quinsoo's an item you would take on adc/mid/top/jg/support. it seems very op.

Why are people not buying Nashor's Tooth on top, jungle, marksman, support then

traditional marksmen has blade of the ruined king anyways, bruisers top take this as well - sustain and % damage--- i made the item a lot less hybrid and more on the AP side and kept the stacking mechanic the item currently has-- the item has less AD and more AP, more expensive and in return getting 10 stacks with the attack speed gives on-hit max health damage- attack speed stacking is now slower being only on hit rather than on hit and on spell cast

but now instead of the item(s) being just balls of stats, the items are more focused towards giving one stat and catering to a new class of champions; so now the items can be bought for if you want an on-hit build rather than hybrid champions like jax and akali

Teemo-top/mid diana - mid/jg teemo - adc teemo - sup Tahm non tank - Gnashers.

+40% bonus Attack Speed + Runeglaive and Gnashors (and hextech) = basically a marksmens full combo + 10 autos in a few autos kappa

Well the items are made to be on-hit focused; keeping in mind you do need to pay gold; but having the items on-hit focused rather than hybrid focused makes them more realistically suitable for more champions to purchase and less overpowering for certain other champions

One thing about gunblade having 100 AP is that it is now an item that someone like Vlad would take over WotA.

It should have a max of 70 AP and something like 60 AD.

It will still be crazy strong on akali though who still is the only champ with it as a core item. That being said the on hit would make it extend to some other champs but not sure if it would really be in a good way. It already has a solid active is the thing to remember.

Rageblade is in a weird spot now and honestly it should have been given the AP ratio instead of nashor's in the first place since that would have given it a place in the game as a good and usable hybrid item.

Something to the effect of 30 AD 40 AP auto attacking or using a spell give the owner a stack for each stack 4% attack speed and 2+ 2% of AP is applied on auto attacks. Up to 10 stacks for 20 + 20% AP

But that passive was given to nashor's which I honestly think would be better off if it built from stinger, blasting wand and Forbidden Idol and got the essence reaver passive (whic his an item I literally never see) that restores mana but was changed to all damage on auto attacks instead of just the physical damage.

40% attack speed 80 AP 10 mana per 5 20% CDR Unique passive: auto attacks restores 2 to 8% of total damage done depending on missing mana. This would include things like procing Lux passive

Gunblade and Wota - 1000 gold difference, so you get more ap but no cdr and the sustain passive is from all sources rather than just spells--- vlad never basic attacks so he cant use the attack damage or passive of the item so you are paying 1000 more gold for 20 ap and no cdr-- also since he never autos the all source spell vamp is useless for him might as well get wota's spell vamp which will also ignore magic resistance--- so basically Gunblade will be more in line for basic attack focused champions and Wota in line for mages to distinguish the items better the passive does two different things depending on your attack damage and ability power- the main difference to nashors is the ap portion is physical damage, but two items being similar is not a bad thing- nashor's is more efficient with price, attack speed for its passive, and magic damage - i just want the item less bursty to make sense for an on-hit build and less akali's personal item which will still be good on her just not so much that it is god tier on akali and mediocre on someone not akali --- the item was closer AD-AP in the past, the thing wtih hybrid items is that it is too good for hybrid champions and mediocre unless op on everyone else - so i took off AD for more AP to make it more focused to one damage type and all source sustain (a rioter gave that idea) so that on-hit effects can have a sustain item- ap makes sense for on-hit champions like varus (he can be, this makes it more viable), kayle, teemo, etc who have ap on-hit and give them sustain like a marksman so gunblade becomes slightly more like the BT for on-hit builds

Guinsoo's Rageblade: i went for a blade building up rage which the rage increases your damage offensively as you constantly strike at your enemies-- the stacking mechanic i think is the cool and interesting portion to this item currently so i went off that- so instead of making this item hybrid and sustain focus i decided to make it entirely offensive focus and it gives on-hit champions some % damage at max attack speed stacks so they have a % item alongside blade for marksmen and liandrys for mages

item makes no sense to be a utility item, so have to say no to cdr and mana sustain; and giving the item flat gains is better and does not make the item feel like it is competing with deathcap- not to mention the way the passives would work the % gains would stack on each other for too much ap getting a % ap rageblade and deathcap that also gives % ap i just think giving flat gains is easier to balance and do not need to worry about two items creating absurd power when together
