Why Taliyah Nerfs?

I was just wondering why they were nerfing her? Like yeah, she was very strong earlier this patch, but now people are understanding how to counter her; therefore, why nerf her? I think in the place she is in currently, she's perfectly fine. Good when ahead and bad when behind. I just think that there are other champions that deserve nerfs other than her *cough ) *cough. I also saw a rioter comment on how they're nerfing her because of her 53% winrate (earlier this patch), but now shes at a steady 50 or below. I don't know... just feels as if there is obvious favoritism towards some champs. Thank you.

Taliyah's winrate in general is pretty solid, but as players gain experience with her, it skyrockets to 59%. Riot wants to drain that power now before the Taliyah mains as a population break that 60% win rate.

as a Taliyah main, Im glad riot thinks she has a high winrate because of her damage, while her ult decides every game played. If you land your ult perfectly in teamfights and split the enemy team to your favor, the game is instantly won and vice versa. Reducing her damage will just make it more difficulty to play her AP. People will probably start building her as tanky toplaner since all you need is your ult. The damage is just an extra.

I won't stop playing Taliyah but I might stop playing her mid if I notice she can't keep up with other midlaners damagewise. I will probably only play her support then.

it has also another reason.

next patch theyre gonna change her w to vector cast, and remove the lockout from her other abilities while using it. meaning, not only is her w going to get a significant quality of life buff, but she will also be able to cast it simultaneously with her e.

this makes her combo a lot easier to pull off consistently.

ive played the champion a couple times on arams and i absolutely hated it. the way her w works right now is extremely irritating.
