Why is Kayn not disabled in ranked?

So basically, I'm forced to sacrifice either 3 LP and 5 minutes of my time or 20LP and 30 minutes of my time. Either way, it's a loss-loss because no one is seriously going to win with this new champion without being carried. Is it really that difficult for Riot to just disable new champs for like a week? It doesn't hurt anyone and it allows for the people playing as/with/against him to figure him out a little more in normal games. THEN, you can enable him. This release, I think I'll count the number of times that people blackmail me into feeding because I threaten to ban him. GOD FORBID I BAN YOUR MAIN, am i right? P.S. Playing him on the PBE is significantly different and does not give anyone more reason to pick him...he's been out for a day. Thanks for ruining my ranked experience yet again, Riot! And to think a fix would be so easy...

I feel like this complaint thread is made every time a new champ gets released. Different champion, same complaint.

Why you mad kid? You have no reasons the champ is basically balanced and can be countered I got your point that your teammates pick up kayn and they can't play him that is just fine. Its a game Win or Lose you wont keep winning all the time.

So you ban him for a week.

In a week his IP cost reduces to 6300 and can now be played in ranked. Then people start to buy him and play him in ranked without a clue of how to play him. Only difference will be is that you'd have a somewhat of a better idea how to play vs him.

because riot has stated before, some players only play ranked.

Dodging doesn't affect your MMR, so it's better to dodge a lobby than play out a game you know you're going to lose.

I just had a Kayn go 5/3, hell, I got 1st blood because of him.

I don't care if people play new champs in ranked. It's just as likely they gonna feed or carry as when they play an old, well known champ.

Was against a decent kayn yesterday, he went something like 8/3 and he was still completely useless for his team......they lost cause of him

So in champ select my jungler wants to play kayn, i ask him not to.. he says ok.. i dont trust him and i ban it, he says hes gonna feed and pick sona jg, he left 5 sec before starts..

this happened 2 times actually, they say: you ban my champ you deserve to lose!!!

also another kid wanted to play kayn top, thanks god enemy team banned it, so he played riven and he went 0/8 against jax....

last game we had kayn top, he fed kennen who carried and we lost....

nothing to do if a team has kayn its just a 4v5

I for one welcome the new trash kayns in ranked.

Thanks to them, i was finally placed in gold.

What goes for you also goes for the other team, as annoying as it is.

statistically... its better to leave it unbanned and free for all who gets it.

assuming you dont want it. it ends up on the enemy team as a free win for you 5-4 times.

free wins are free wins. sure it sucks when you get the kayn, but understand some math here.

I shamelessly stay far, far away from Ranked for 2-4 weeks upon each Champ release. Too much chaos, whiny children, tilt, and "new champ or feed". I certainly empathize with OP.
