No one can tell gender over the internet, so it's a common practice to use the pronoun that applies to the players champion when talking about the player.

I'm aware, I referred to the player as "he" and so I thought it was strange to change the pronoun. Should stick to the one being discussed to avoid confusion, this isn't the first time MRiYE is referred to as a female in wild discussions. o.O
