I've tested this a good 4 times, after landing R on enemies Sion can no longer charge his Q. You can auto attack or move, but you can not charge Q until the stun wears off the enemy.
This is a vital combo for Sion's engage, please look into it.

Delioth1 votesIt's Sion in the Korean-dominated meta- he's simply too slow and takes too long to ramp up to be honestly viable on the worlds stage anyways. This is Worlds, man- games are decided by minute 15 typically. Yeah, a superhero play or critical failure can change that if one team gets lax, but outside of that the games snowball so fast that Sion slows one team down enough that it's a severe disadvantage.

No one else in the game could hear him either.

Btw. Can we expect a small Shen buff in 5.19 so he doesn't get shoved out of lane too hard. I think halving his heal was too strong a hit to his early, his sustain and tankability was already inferior to other top laners not to mention his low base armor, and since he can't intimidate his enemies withcstrong damage (because he has low kill pressure) or make them farm under turret and loose cs, because he has poor waveclear why not give him +2 armor like what gave

It currently acts somewhat like Riven's Q disabling her auto attacks but not her movements, to which players bypass by using Q -> move -> attack to create a basic attack that is used directly after the Q. The same can be applied to Sion's R but instead of a auto lock-out it locks out his Q instead for some reason.
So until they fix this or if they never fix this, the way to Q after R is to input a move command then Q.
R lands -> right click -> Q and you'll be able to Q right out of R. Still seems weird that it's locked out in the first place though.
But anyway, there's your temporary (or permanent) fix.

Unpaladin1 votesI always thought there was some funny business with this combo. It was kind of on/off though, as I always did a movement command immediately after the ult hits and then did the Q. Something about doing that feels good, and you stand right on top of them and block their exit. Players should be able to be boring and push only R and Q though, and that's understandable.
