Let's get one thing clear about ARAM balance

YOU BEEN WARNED··123 votes·8,521 views

Riot implemented the game mode without particular attention to it's state of balance. They then followed up slightly by removing power from outliers in form of reduced healing to allies and trap detection item 3187 item 2047 item 3185 . Then with the same concept, items intended to help champions who didn't strive in the map were introduced item 3112 item 2051

No direct tackling of balance such as champion specific nerfs as done in TT and Dominion happened. The game mode was never "balanced", the introduction of summoner 31 is changing the historical favoring of ranged champions over melee in ARAM at best. The mode remains a place to practice random fun.

Some call this summoner 31 ARAM ruined.

I call it "Justice".

I wasnt a balanced mode in the first place. People calling it 'unfair' when the odds could already be stacked against you just makes it ironic.

According to my match history I have around 1800 aram games played. That's grossly inaccurate because a large number were from back when it was a custom only mode and many predate the history wipe that happened a couple years ago.

It's a bs mode. I have no problem with the change. ARAM is great for the times that make you laugh from some of the ridiculous things that happen, I think this change adds to this and the CD is fine for the modes fast paced gameplay.

It's not reversing the balance to favor melee champs. It's making OP champs more OP. See: Amumu Galio Katarina Leblanc Morgana Leona Lissandra Talon Vayne Zed Sejuani etc. etc.

The champions that benefit most are all champs that had a strong presence if not outright domination on the map anyway. ARAM was the least balanced of the game modes but at least it was more balanced than Amumu getting a reliable 20s CD 2500 range true damage dealing gap closer. The most unfair the random champion selection could be would be a full melee team vs a team of full ranged CC/poke. That one-in-fifty game is not a reason to fuck up the other 49 as well.

Sorry, Yes!, I can see the place for the summoner. but not on a 20 second cooldown, not on a small enough projectile that's already hard to see, and not on range that would make nfl scouts crap their pants. The ranged vs. melee argument is a load of crap. Yes Howling Abyss is not a beacon of balance. Being random its not really going to be. Ranged champions had an edge yes, but this summoner with its long range, short coolldown and small projectile size takes that and throws it completely aside. There is no place for a ranged champion anymore let alone a front line as there is no way to keep carries safe long enough to do anything. Lets be honest, sure poke hurt in ARAM, but its not like it completely put the opposing team on tilt if you knew how to build and work together. Its not like Summoner's Rift where I can back and heal. Death in ARAM is the ULTIMATE way to force a lopsided match as it denies experience and gold and the more deaths just keeps the snowball rolling. The ability to abuse a 20s ability with assassin like items is waayy overpowered for such a small map where there is no returning to fountain. There are already plenty of ways to reach the back line if you know how to work together and plan your team fights. It has taken what little semblance of balance that did exist in ARAM and throw it away. The only ones who will succeed any more are those 100 to 0 champions or those that can live long enough to abuse jumping in an out. Its not like an ranged is EVER going to abuse this mechanic... goodness he wouldn't live long enough to get enough AA's off.

If people had to get a bit closer and actually time this ability instead of just "letting her fly" and chasing after the first ADC hit by it I wouldn't care as much- in other words the range is way to long its ridiculous!!! If the projectile was a bit bigger like a morg binding and instead of being able to squeeze in between minion waves easy I would not have a problem. If people actually had to time the ability like an actual summoner I wouldn't have a problem. Why should all assassins get a free insane gap closer on a 20 second rotation that quite frankly isn't that hard to hit when the ADCs whose only countermeasure is to try and dodge it... or 5 of them for that matter... on a map with already very little to no terrain to hide behind. Even worse, champions can't block it with summoner abilities and I can't cleanse it which rules out Cleanse Summoner or a Quicksilver Sash. There is nothing an ADC can do besides just rage quit because they can't get enough Auto Attacks to help there team. At least an APC .. more likely bursty anyway... has access to Zhonya's that provide some protection to opposing Mark/Dash skill. Hence just more proof that the summoner caters even more to bursty cooldown champs that make use of timely stealth Zhonya's and flash. If there was another summoner (namely that provided a sivir type shield) to prevent this ability... FINE! This mindisight behind items and abilities should not "Lets think only of engage." Lets at least be fair to those champions that require a bit of distance to get anything done and give them a way to react or live long enough to react. And not have to do it every damn 20 seconds or 4 seconds if I have to account for the whole damn enemy team.

You want this ability, fine, lets just put flash on a 30 second cooldown in aram and call it done. At least then an ADC with flash can react and counter the damn thing and get off a few auto attacks instead of just being jumped on in the beginning of EVERY team fight because you hit A) them B) the minion close to them or C) the ally close to them. Or B put this ability on a 75 second timer instead of 20. There ... 4 of these per 1 flash defensive cooldown per champion and not 15- this still doesn't help when the assassin hits you and stealths back but it at least shrinks the pool of champions that can one shot safely. If you manage to 2 of the 4 during a persons flash down then you deserve your kill. An ADC shouldn't have to weave and dodge one every 4 seconds of gametime to stay safe. That's just a ludicrous mechanic.

Stopped at "There is no place for a ranged champion anymore." Because we all know that's not true. God forbid you position in ARAM

Auryiel5 votes

Oh, yes, let me position properly so I dodge the... oops, that MINION didn't dodge.

Well I guess I should stay behind my tower all game! Silly me, thinking I could actually attempt to interact with you on my own terms once in a while. Oh, what's that? Your 20 seconds summoner spell outranges everything that's not a global or semi global ultimate? WELP.

djjomon9 votes

Thanks for proving my point.

Auryiel2 votes

Thanks for proving you can't actually come up with a good counter-argument.

djjomon5 votes

Do you want me to?

Auryiel3 votes

Yes, I'm actually curious to see what you'll come up with.

Who knows, maybe it'll help me actually change/refine my opinion on the summoner spell, although I doubt it will be compelling enough to suddenly make me become a fan of it as it is right now (I want to keep it very badly, just change it so it's not ridiculously game-warping).

djjomon8 votes

Not sure why you got downvoted this time, since you're encouraging discussion. Anyway...

ARAM is inherently unbalanced, teamcomps are random, ARAM poke accounts are less important, blah blah blah. You know that stuff. We all know that stuff.

I agree that the Mark spell gives assassins and heavy engage champs even easier engage. I understand your point that they can Dash to a minion then use their kit's gap closer on you. (Hell, I did it as Tolan, against Zyra plants).

I disagree that it's game-breaking, or game-warping. And I'll explain it the scope of your post (that I still argue agrees with me, but anyone can twist a statement to their desires).

  1. Dodging snowballs is easy. Not like "wow you suck you can't dodge a snowball afk" easy. But relatively easy.
  2. That said, you can watch the snowballs fly at minions. If you see it heading toward a minion you're close enough to, it's really no different than laning against Irelia. Except everyone now has her Q. Inconvenient at best, OP on the right champions (Katarina maybe) at worst.
  3. Hide under tower at all times. I understand the sarcastic point here. No one does that in ARAM, especially with how weak the towers are, and brush located so close. But on that topic, if you're a squishy ADC/mage, you can use the brush between outter turrets to your advantage when poking, and hope your team peels in teamfights. If you're Sivir or Kog'Maw below level 6, yeah you'll probably die when they engage on you. If you're longer ranged like Cait or Xerath (yes I'm using extremes) it shouldn't be hard to position. 3a. Random teams in ARAM, who knows who each will get, blah blah blah.
  4. 20 sec CD gap closer with ridiculous range. The true damage is hurts the most on this IMO. I've literally snowballed on champions after getting snowball kills. That's weird. But 20 seconds. That's a decent window of safety. I'm not expecting anyone to know exactly who threw the 3 snowballs you just dodged, but it's safe to assume that's a decent time to poke. And on engaging? If it's your job to engage, you're most likely willing to take snowballs to the face. (Unless Ori/Sona, etc., I guess).

As for my original point: ARAM heavily favored range champions since its official implementation. (Maybe before, I didn't play it much back when it custom exclusive). Assassins were strong too, but not auto wins by any means. Now, melee champions without hard engage/poke have a free tool they can use to their advantage. Unless you become that fed Katarina or Zed, it's not game-breaking. On that note, we do have defensive itemization for that, but admittedly it may be an issue. Or not, it's random.

Auryiel1 votes

So, I agree with all of your points to an extent, but not enough to actually think the summoner spell doesn't need a nerf.

  1. The projectile should be more visible. Plus, there's already a LOT of shit flying around in ARAM. Adding 5 enemy projectiles to the mix gets really old really fast.
  2. This links to point one, the snowballs can be hard to keep track off. Plus, the fact that you need to be wary of your own minions because really tedious. You've compared this to laning against Irelia, but I feel like that's not an accurate representation of the situation for a couple of reasons. First, when laning against Irelia, it's (usually) a 1v1 of two bruisers. Let's for a moment forget the inherent abusive nature of top lane when one opponent gets a lead and focus on the fact that USUALLY it's two guys from the same class who beat on each other. Snowballs, especially on tanks, enable the initiation of team fights. That's a completely different story. Second, you actually need to be wary of every single minion that is not near death. That's a HUGE difference between watching which minions are close to death and not stepping near them to stay out of her ideal engage (Q to minion, E when appropriate, have Q up for follow up when you start creating some distance) and force her into a not ideal one (Q-Q so it's not up when you create some distance). Third, there is a massive difference in engage range.
  3. Like you said, certain squishy champions can hide under tower, but what about all those that can't? What, we're just gonna expect them to never interact with the minon waves until it reaches their own tower? That's just as bad as saying ''Oh, you're melee? Go hide far away before I poke you down to 10% health''.
  4. I don't really think 20 seconds is all that big of a window, tbh. It's less than the respawn time of minions. I also think the true damage is kind of out of place, but mostly I think the problem with this summoner spell lies with the risk-free nature of it. When you miss a snowball you don't feel like it's a loss of a resource. You just try again in 20 seconds. When you miss a Flash, you feel like a complete fuck tard and you have to play differently for up to FIVE MINUTES. Now of course I'm NOT saying Mark/Dash should have a cooldown nearly as high as Flash's, but when you miss one you need to feel like you've fucked up. It shouldn't be about throwing a snowball and then hoping you can make something of what happens when it hits. You should have to put some thought into where to throw them. Yesterday I played a game as Jarvan and I would just throw it out all the time. Oh, I hit them under tower and I can't engage? Bleh, who cares I'll throw another one in 20 seconds until something works out for me. IMO that's not how summoner spells should work.

As for the imbalance of ARAM, I think that a balance between champion CLASSES can be achieved without too much effort. Honestly I cannot for the life of me figure out why the mana regen aura has not been nerfed yet, for example. It's what makes poke such a problem in the first place. A semblance of balance should be a goal, IMO. It's a mode for fun. There's NOTHING fun about rolling a useless champion, whether they are melees living in a poke dominated world or ad carries living in an engage frenzy.

Also, last thing I wanna say is that I think it's sad that Mark/Dash was implemented without much thought. It obviously benefits champions who didn't need help in the first place (Alistar Amumu JarvanIV Sejuani Katarina Zed ) more than champions who did (Darius Garen). I think that in itself is a sign that it needs more tuning or flat out be removed in favor of a summoner spell that actually does help those who need it most instead of those who just abuse it without needing help in the first place.

djjomon1 votes

I see what you mean, on each point. The only one I really disagree with is sitting under tower for fear of being poked. I feel that it's really no different than old ARAM in general. Just more dangerous for the squishy champion. I find it to be more of a benefit nonetheless. I feel the benefits outweigh the drawbacks. But here's where it's a debate of opinion, not right/wrong.

This is why I egg people on in the forums. It promotes civilized, intelligent conversation. Even if we don't change each other minds. That's not my goal. My goal is to discuss and learn.

Over all, we really are agreeing with each other. Going back to our sarcastic posts "thank you for proving my point" "thank you for showing you can't come up with a counter argument." We're arguing the same thing, but with different conclusions. We basically see the same problems of Mark/Dash, and weight them differently.

I like this. At this point, I don't really have a counter argument. I'd just be repeating myself, then I imagine you would to. (If you have more to offer, I'll listen).

Auryiel2 votes

I really don't XD

But I agree that arguing intelligently over something is good. It doesn't happen very often, though... Well, not here anyway.

Icestar11861 votes

The thing is, the range really isn't a problem. If they can safely dive that far, they've taken down a tower (or both) and probably already snowballed. If they can AIM anything at that range, they deserve the win. The travel time on the snowball is very long. Its effectiveness drops significantly with range because not everyone can go in with the user, it is hard to aim a skillshot at 2500 range with that travel time, and teams are not always coordinated enough to get the ideal initiate that everyone seems afraid of.

Spoo1 votes

Dodge all 300-450 snowballs per game coming at you while getting enough CS and try to land enough damage to be useful. See if you can even reach your 3rd or 4th item spike before the game ends. You'll see!

Spoo1 votes

Make it cost health a significant pool of health so there is actually a trade in using it and it might actually work.

TLDR of this post is:

"Ranged champions had a huge advantage before! Now they have less of an advantage, Rito Plz change it back!" - Ranged Champion user.

Auryiel4 votes

More like "The summoner spell was a good change, but in its current state, it is overpowered"

But hey let's all pretend that's not the case, huh?

I guess we really should listen to the feedback of people who think something so blatantly game warping is fine.

Mark/Dash was a much, much needed change for ARAM. I play the mode more than anything else and I just HATED rolling certain melee champions. I knew it was going to be a miserable experience. Now? It's not anymore! That's really, really nice because guess what I'd like to play more random champions on ARAM without feeling like I'm at a huge disadvantage... And that's why I hate Mark/Dash as it is right now. It didn't increase diversity, it just shifted the balance of power.

What the fuck is so wrong in asking for ARAM to have a SEMBLANCE of balance between champion CLASSES? I mean sure I could start crying about how Sona is fucking broken in ARAM, but hey you live with it. What's NOT fine is having entire classes of champions being mediocre. Having immobile melee champions suck in ARAM was bad. Having AD carries be worthless in ARAM is equally bad.

The worst thing is, it's not even the champions that were supposed to be helped by Mark/Dash that benefit the most from it.

Oh, wow, Garen just snowballed into my team. Let's... slow him and run? Ok, done. Hey at least he's more useful now than before. Good for you, Garen :D OMFG GALIO JUST ENGAGED FROM 2500 RANGE AND WE'RE ALL DEAD BECAUSE THE MAP IS SO SMALL THERE'S NO WAY WE CAN GET AWAY FROM A TANK WITH MASSIVE AOE CC!!! Fucking ban Galio already! Oh, wait.... -_-"

Mark/Dash needs some serious tuning. It could have been a step in the right direction, but it's two steps in the wrong one instead.

usul120210 votes

No, you're all dead because you didn't dodge something slower than a nidalee spear, that came from off screen where you knew it was going to come from, and you were all grouped up playing a galio. This summoner spell is not an excuse to turn into an idiot, and has massive counterplay because of its range and speed.

Auryiel3 votes

I like how you basically fail to adress any of my points.

Oh and please make me laugh more about dodging this fucking snowball when you can dash to MINIONS. That's the single most broken thing about this summoner spell. It removes most of the counterplay. Staying far away from your own minions is NOT counterplay, it's quite simply bullshit.

Sej uses her snowball on a caster minion. She dashes, dashes again thanks to her innate mobility and ults. You're really gonna stand here and argue that a tank engaging from such massive range on such a NARROW map is balanced? LOL

usul12027 votes

That would be because you didn't really make points, you just kinda ranted. I agree that it needs tuning, but i also think that it has a ton of counterplay, and is a very health addition to ARAM.

And yea, you're still dumb enough to stand where they can engage. Its called positioning and counterplay. Know your opponents possible engages. You don't stand where sej can engage on your entire team.

Auryiel3 votes

Dumb enough to stand where they can engage? That's more than your whole screen... You either risk getting engaged on because of your minions or you choose to let the enemy team CONSTANTLY push to your tower without ever actually contesting anything, including your own health relic. Yes, that's somewhat of an extreme case scenario, but that's the only type of counterplay Mark/Dash has.

Tanks don't need to CC 5 people to be useful and it is FAR easier for them to CC multiple champions on Howling Abyss than it is on most of Summoner's Rift.

And you still fail to actually acknowledge the inherent problem of being able to dash to minions or the monstrous engage range the summoner spell gives you or the risk-free nature of the spell because of its exceedingly low CD. But hey don't bother replying if all you can say is ''Position better''. I know it makes you feel smart and good at the game, but it's not actually an argument when you fail to take into account the numerous variables of the game like the size of AoE CCs, the range of mobility spells, the shape of the map and most of all the abusive nature of combining Mark/Dash with all those factors.

usul12026 votes

You argue like your own team is incapable of an engage, and that you must be engaged on by the other teams best engager in their perfect situation for every team fight. Engage back, and team fight if thats what you need to do.

Alsp, position better is damn well a legitimate argument. You choose to stand by a marked minion. You chose to be stacked or spread. you chose to stand near or far from your hard CC/engager/disengager/bush/tower/wall. You always have a ton of choices leading up to a fight. You position wrong and make mistakes, then damn well that snowballing sej is gonna wreck your face. you give her bad options, and she won't, or will die doing it.

Auryiel1 votes

Because obviously every team has hard engage...

Nope.

Because obviously NEVER standing near your minions is a viable option to actually win.

Again, nope.

Positioning properly is nowhere near as effective as it was before the introduction of this summoner spell. The risk is ENTIRELY on the people getting snowballed. There is little to no cost to throwing one because of its insanely low cooldown.

Opening up THAT MANY options for a tank is bad and the funny thing is TANKS DIDN'T NEED HELP ON HOWLING ABYSS IN THE FIRST PLACE.

usul12021 votes

Ah yes, because you can't begin a fight unless you have malphite or sej on your team. Not possible. You can't, you know, kill someone out of position and followup, or mess with anyone that gets within 500 units because you're clearly a ranged only squishy comp.

Ah yes, when i said 'when they can engage' i clearly meant 100% of the time you should be huddled away from anything that might even have a claw to scratch you. Yes, theres absolutely no ebb or flow to league of legends, and it's always a good time for the other team to engage.

Proper positioning allows you to wreck the people with snowballs, while dodging them just as you did before. Also, someone like sej or Cho who has movement/range abiltiies did fine.

You seriously wanna tell me that Udyr, Garen, Warwick, Mundo, Olaf, Shen, Volibear, Shyvana, Skarner, Trundle, Darius, and Zac didn't need help? because all of them are listed as tanks (except udyr, who still fits the argument), and just got shat on by anyone with thresh's range.

Spoo1 votes

Legend of the poro king had 4-5 PK per game. Thats at least 40-50 getting hit on either side. I'm sorry, good positioning.. there is no such thing. PEOPLE WILL GET HIT!!!

I don't mind dying to a good flash (it has a chance at high reward.. but also bears extreme risk if messed up) but a 20 second no counterplay projectile with the distance of a commercial airliner and absolutely no risk to the person throwing it..thats a load of BS.

usul12021 votes

Wanna reply to the rest of that post? Because you ignored every single major point that i made, and typing it out again feels futile.

Icestar11861 votes

Using the snowball at more than nidalee spear range is strategically unfeasible. It is unlikely to hit and your team is even less likely to be able to follow up.

Auryiel1 votes

Udyr, Garen, Warwick, Olaf, Volibear, Shyvana, Skarner, Trundle and Darius are not tanks

The Mundos I saw before usually did fine if their team comp was capable of getting the game to 15 minutes + Shen will never be particularly good on Howling Abyss because of how much of his power is tied to an aspect of his ultimate that is near useless on the map. Zac's biggest strength is probably his ability to flank from afar and disrupt the enemy team. When you have such a straightforward map and flanking is one of your pluses, yeah you're gonna suffer. See Evelynn.

And yes they needed help. But they still don't benefit from the spell as much as people who didn't need help. That just shows Mark/Dash is a failure.

usul12021 votes

With the exception of udyr, all of the listed are tanks in the league of legens system. Udyr is an exceptional case with how bad he was in aram.

Mundo's still get shat on. Buy a morellos and laugh as he dies. they're simply better now than they were. Shen has a killer engage now with the snowball taunt, and i've played with several good ones now. The snowball allows zac to be an insane disruptor, it does it's job there.

{quoted} When you have such a straightforward map and flanking is one of your pluses, yeah you're gonna suffer. See Evelynn.

This right here is what wrecks your argument. because EXACTLY as some champs are going to suffer intrinsically from the type of game mode some excel. All The snowball did is shift the balance of power. Even still, eve is stronger because of the snowball. Still bad, but not as bad. The playing field is more even with everyone being stronger here. Because it gives everyone counterplay, and everyone an engage.

There is no such thing as a single ability that will be balanced for everyone. What snowball did is brought a lot of trash tier champs up, even while elevating top tier ones slightly. It is beatable, it has counterplay, and (imo) makes aram fun as hell because there aren't really unbeatable comps anymore.

Auryiel1 votes

Teemo's primary role is Marksman and his secondary role is assassin

Stop using the trash system Riot has all but forgotten about and use your logic to determine which champions fill what roles. Anyway, moving on because this is quite frankly irrelevant.

Why is it that everyone assumes ARAM has to have CLASS imbalance? It doesn't. Certain specific champions will always be weaker on the map, yes, but that doesn't mean that poke mages have to be overpowered (that could have been fixed a LONG time ago) or that tanks with snowballs have to be overpowered. Yes, it takes some work but since ARAM is NOT a temporary game mode I am of the opinion that it deserves more general balance efforts than ''Let's shift who is blatantly overpowered''.

I've said it before and I'll say it again : ARAM is a mode for fun. There's nothing fun about entire classes being REALLY weak. It wasn't fun before, it's not fun now.

ChaoticPinecone1 votes

except if there is a hard engage on their team, you risk being engaged upon when you try to kill someone out of position.

and i never had a problem with garen, WW, mundo, shen, voli, trundle, or darius. Udyr/Shyvana werent in a great spot, but the spell that helps these handful of champions "viable" (as they still have problems sticking to their target after using the snowball if your team has any peel) makes another 2 dozen stupid to play agasint.

usul12021 votes

If someone engages especially with a long range snowball alone you will kill them before their team can followup, unless you have 5 supports building no damage. that's the joy of a long range snowball. unless you group up for a bard ult into a sej ult, they're gonna die real damn fast. Positioning so that they can't CC all of you at once is important and VERY achievable at any time.

This post is directly about ARAM not being balanced. i'm jsut arguing that it's better to make every champion viable on some level, which i think this summoner spell did. (And i don't find them stupid to play against, because i find the snowball to have plenty of counterplay)

VladivostokFM2 votes

I would love mark/dash if it was actually confined to those 4-5 champs that really have a hard time being viable without a solid gapcloser. Fact is that this is not the case and it completely breaks the game. It's not the Udyr or Warwick that makes the most of this spell. It's the Gallio, the Morgana and the Gnar that benefit most from it. Champions that already had a comfy spot on the power curve just become more broken. I even play mark/dash on Lux, a champion known for long range poke and being strong in ARAM, because it patches the thing that Lux is weak at... movement! W->Dash->Q->E->R and theres your free double. Meanwhile you are being defended by a Leona that took the liberty of diving in with you and who is hard CC-ing the entire enemy team. It has nothing to do with redistributing power from ranged to melee. It is all about upsetting the soul of a very subtle game mode to make it a gimmick for people who play ARAM once a week.

YOU BEEN WARNED9 votes

Look, the problem isn't WINNING with Udyr Garen, you got this all wrong. The problem is that these guys have little to no fun in comparison with other champions, specifically poke mages which have the biggest blast of the mode.

Right now, it is hard not to have fun with a specific champion in the mode. The game is fixed in that regard, but if you talk like a spoiled kid that wants Ziggs & co. only to have fun, you end up ruining it for everybody.

Don't be that kid.

ChaoticPinecone1 votes

certian champions had a huge advantage before - Amumu Nautilus Sejuani Galio Malphite Leona. now they have a HUGE advantage that is uncounterable as long as there is a minion next to you.

ChaoticPinecone10 votes

the community created ARAM. people used to play custom "random champion" games on Summoners Rift where there was a rule that everybody went mid and nobody could back before they died. Riot, at the community's request, implemented these rules into a new map because people loved it.

now they changed it into something else entirely.

usul120210 votes

Really? AFAIK The game is still All Random, and All Mid, unless HA became top lane with all these tanks.

Sammystorm2 votes

Specifically people played aram on the training map.

Anidan8 votes

I dunno... it looks EXACTLY like aram to me, except with a new summoner spell. It has the same rules and everything.

Are you sure they change aram into something else? Or did they just make a change some of you don't like? There is a very, very big difference.

The Red Warden10 votes

The summoner 31 just needs its numbers changed (cooldown increase, lower damage/range) do that and it will be fine. Taking it out will just leave us with the ranged dominance we had before.

Aurora Donn9 votes

I take Mark/Dash on ADC's/Poke Champs like Lux etc for several reasons.

-Repositioning mid team fight -Returning to lane faster to join the fight -Get that last hit to the back of someone's head to finish them -Check bushes for enemies without face checking -Chase someone to finish them for that Quad/Pentakill

It's funny because I see a lot of people killing themselves with Mark/Dash rather than using it intelligently. It's good on just about everyone. Items like Guardians Horn and Righteous Glory are still very useful, perhaps even more so because it enables immobile champs to move a bit more in order to be in a good place to take advantage of the enemy's mistake.

Also, there is a way to back in ARAM... it's called getting Executed. (And not by Draven, but that's always a lovely fanfare.)

summoner 31 Jinx FTW.

It's pretty easy to react to someone diving in on your own team if they activate Dash because you can see the mark above someone's head if they're able to be dashed to. ARAM is much more fun now that I can enjoy any champion I roll.

Hatless Casual7 votes

Biggest issue with aram balance are people with "aram only accounts", level 30 accounts with only near god tier choices for aram.
