You use quotations, yet I never said that exactly quote.

For all you know, I could be a Sona main and my sentence is still technically correct.

Two out of three of those statements are correct. I never did say I don't main Sona, just that I'm more likely to be a main than him. Also I'm silver, we are not currently in a game, and if we're talking logic then logic doesn't necessarily dictate that one must main a champion in order to buy their skin or icon.

She is far from one of the top supports right now even in solo queue

Supports that fair better overall (not just in niche situations) include:

Braum Alistar Janna Nautilus Thresh Morgana Annie (yes still) Nami Soraka

I would say her and Karma are equal to an extent as they are best served in specific instances more than just play whenever. So...at best she is number 10 if not 11.

Taric is the only actual support I would put under her currently, as I think he works great in Niche situations, Zyra is even outside of the healing, and Lulu isn't really a support anymore.
