I mean, for as much as I like some of CertainlyT's champions from an aesthetic standpoint, his design philosophy is worrisome.
You forgot Kalista's infinite dashes after every auto attack that can be used to hop over walls and terrain. Also, any reason you didn't include Thresh?
didn't certainlyT design Zyra as well?
now you're confusing me o.o

He designed her with two other people. The reason she isn't there is because she only needed a few number changes to be balanced. Her kit isn't atrocious like most of his champs.
she is balanced but rarely played nowadays, to the point that people even forget she was partly made by certanlyt
it's sad when balanced = rarely played xD
even if i'm fine with it, she's playable at least, unlike some other forgotten champs
Is it bad that my first favorite champ was
and still is? I feel no shame.
I disagree, on darius.
He was done well in the regard of he has one pull, zero mobility and gap closers.
He can get caught out, but don't underestimate his damage.
If he uses grab too early or you dash away before/after he gets to cry in a corner.
But if he DOES get you close enough he can punish you EXTREMELY hard for it.
The other laners on the other hand, get all that, plus mobility.
why does ppl complain about his champion he didn't make cancer champ like ori akali or fizz and more those are the real bullshit
{quoted} why does ppl complain about his champion he didn't make cancer champ like ori akali or fizz and more those are the real bullshit
Those are older champions and I feel they can be excused because Riot probably didn't know how they would turn out, and as an Akali player, I agree she does need a rework at some point. What I'm getting at is now that they're experienced with champ creation, there is literally no reason for monstrosities like Yasuo to exist. Nothing about him should be considered healthy for the game.
I thought Wind Wall was the single dumbest idea Riot has ever accepted into a champion's kit, then Kalista was made with that horrible passive that makes her jump around like a spear-chucking frog on top of having the standard CertainlyT overloaded kit. Let's go back to when Thresh was released; why was he accepted as a good idea when there are absolutely no drawbacks whatsoever to picking him?
Giant team wide stun ult while loaded with skills for 2 forms.

And then you remember you don't control the transformation.
And then you don't care because Gnar is fun even if you're losing.
And then you never lose as Gnar because Gnar.
And then you lane against a Garen and realize that Gnar is the single best written champion in the entire League the moment you hear "DEMAGLIO"
Lol! Also did you know Garen can taunt and joke and laugh while using his spin2win and he will stop and do the joke/taunt/whatever with the sword blur still spinning (to winning) around him? :D
I've never wanted to actually take the time to learn Garen more.
{quoted} learn Garen.
Surely you're joking. There's no such thing as "learning" Garen. It's like saying you need to learn how to breathe.
I mean there's more than one build path for him, and you still have to learn his skill order and stuff. By "learn Garen" I mean that I've never once touched him.
{quoted} And then you remember you don't control the transformation.
And then you notice Gnar's 100% pick/ban rate in all preseason tournaments and realize, that not controling your transformation isn't really a problem.

^^
And then you notice that not everyone in LoL is even remotely at that level.
Uh... I really don't think the comparison OP is making is actually fair. Rek'Sai's lategame DPS is way better than Lee Sin's (with the same number of damage items, of course) and she doesn't really need more damage honestly (60% free permanent AS is also cool). Rek'Sai was also created to actually DEAL DAMAGE later on, while the general consensus is that Lee Sin is more about the utility lategame. They are overall two way too different junglers to compare.
Also, I think it's time to stop the hate on CertainlyT. His kits have nothing wrong themselves, and just because most of his champs were broken on release it doesn't mean he's not a good designer. Sure, Yasuo was hella broken when he first came out, but CertainlyT was not the one who had to pick the numbers. Still, when you face a Yasuo nowadays, it is STATISTICALLY likely you're going to win the game, and even more likely you're going to crush him in lane because of how squishy he is. Then there's Kalista. I really don't know what people on this board complain about. She's not even that strong honestly, I've seen very few Kalistas become overwhelming, especially when not extremely fed. Picks like Corki, Lucian and Graves are still way stronger. If Kalista turns out to be a sleeper, I think it won't take much to bring her down, especially given how low her damage already his.
Fair point.
Keep in mind. . . Lee Sin was made years ago. They didn't have the same design philosophy that they do now.
keep in mind he is the pro scene mascot
So was Sion... And he was relaunched. I would be okay with Lee getting the same treatment. Probably won't happen though.
Keep in mind Nidalee was released even earlier than that
And then they re-released her, and she's even worse than before.
how about we talk about
instead and the silly kit that champ has
Seriously ... This champ is banned more than any other champ in the games I play.. With good reason
And thus the reason why Riot doesn't make another kit like Lee's. This is a good thing.
That's because rito has the balancing ability of a potato.
I don't have a problem with that. It seemed like the smartest and most core fantasy way to have the void burrower capable of zooming across the map underground (thought that enemies he dashed into would take some minor- average damage atleast but i'm still cool with it as just transport that can easily be interrupted, because the rest of his kit is awesome xD
His gameplay somwhat bares some likeness to Shen's with a few extras like attack speed increase, movment speed steroid, physical and true damage.
Which is why I am angry because after all the nerfs shen got they throw Rek'Sai at us? I have came to the conclusion that Rek'Sai can do shen's job slightly better than Shen Top and by far a better Jungler, Rek'Sai base skin is purple and blue which was one of the reasons i liked malzahar. (Is riot's fabourite colour purple?)
dont forget ults useless if u just died and they cleared all ur tunnels lmao, atleast make it require no tunnels
{quoted} atleast make it require no tunnels
That would be a terrible idea. She's balanced on release, something we haven't seen since Vel'Koz. Don't fix what isn't broken.
She's hardly balanced and is currently a problem in top lane.
"I lost to her this one time rito pls nerf"
Balanced, meanwhile the 16/1 Rek'sai in one my last few ranked games that solo carried the game and went 1v5 and killed 4 people.
lol, vel isnt balanced, its just that no-one plays him because he isn't mobile enough for the LCS. pop him in solo queue though and we have ziggs with more damage and better waveclear.
I don't know, that sounds pretty balanced to me...
try playing against a good vel, he can win any match up, doesnt need ignite to secure kills, ridiculous base damages, high range, plentiful CC, massive AoE, god like waveclear, godlike poke, high safety in lane (though he is positioning reliant), is relevant throughout the game, always has kill potential on a lane opponent post 6, great TP ganks, great siege (attacking or defending), can carry even when behind in lane, not vulnerable to assassins in lane, great kiting. his trade-off for all of this? he has limited mobility in terms of abilities.
how is he not vulnerable to assassins? I get that he can clear waves easily, but that typically takes me at least 2 W charges, at which point I don't have any more of my main damage ability but dat ult.
Vel is not played in LCS not because of the lack of mobility, but because of the lack of scaling
it's the same reason you don't see Zyra mid but you see her support: bullshit AP ratios, insanely high base damages; this is the definition of a support, not of an AP mid
Xerath is played in LCS but he is not mobile, he has the same movespeed as Velkoz, and both of them have got a way to escape ganks (xerath stun, velkoz knockback + huge slow)
when you prefer magic penetration to raw AP, you know you're not a midlaner
