Does anyone feel like the new Swain is Support Viable?

I've been thinking:

Swain's W is a good path blocker bot lane, because if ADC's run through with with their support, they will both take damage and get slowed. If Swain expects a jungler nearby or a drake take, he's more free to use W in that way as a support than as a mid.

Furthermore, Nevermore with his passive has a pretty reliable Root, and a pretty low cooldown.

On top of that, he's self sustaining for if a teammate is a bad adc.

His kit has all the makings of a Zyra -Like support..... except he can augment his vision with W, and better control objectives.

I know Q is the Mid lane Go-To, but the rest of the kit is very support-eqsue. Thoughts?

He works fairly well with ADCs that have some kind of crowd control to enable his passive. Hard to say if it's good though.

Also quite underwhelming towards late game.

I had this thought too. Maxing E first to drag in kills and using Q like a shotgun when people get close.

Ult doesn't really compliment a supp build though.

no.

Swain needs items to be effective. Picking a support based on an assumption that your adc sucks is almost never a good idea unless you're a smurf in a silver game.

To be even slightly effective in lane he will need to push the lane which is almost never good, especially if you're bot lane. He will run out of mana very quickly since his high mana costs are compensated with mans sustain via killing minions.

Please just play him mid or if you get autofilled top. His kit is good as a hard-pushing roamer that's good at ganks and dives, not supporting an adc, especially in this meta.
