Riot has spent more time on Ryze PBE changes than Bill Lumberg has spent on TPS reports

And it's never a simple change like "add 10 mana to his q", it's always a wall of text where you simply think "I'm never playing Ryze because I don't want to keep up with this every week." If Riot spend 1/100th of that time fixing the Mac bug that has been crashing games since pre-season this year, they'd have it corrected by now and my teammates wouldn't be reporting me every third game for dc'ing.

They gutted him in 8.9. Supposedly this was a last ditch effort to balance him. He probably won't get anymore changes anytime soon.
