Give us an AP equivalent of executioner's calling

It didn't bother me so much in the past honestly. Now that exists he's become a huge problem to AP midlaners and AP champions as a whole. the only solution for them is to build an early and use autos to proc it and later on sell it for a morello. it's kind of dumb imo. We should have an early grievous wounds for AP champions that builds into

Edit: i don't think i clear enough on my point... i proposed to be turned into something with grievous wounds... wasn't very specific when saying an item that builds into morello i guess.

oblivion orb item 3916 as it is now is a literal ball of stats for mages and is purchased on almost all AP champions for that 15 magic pen. the magic pen should be reduced to 5 + grevious wounds, or just not have any penetration at all being replaced with grevious wounds.

this way people wont just sit on the item with sorc boots and deal near true damage early game with 33 magic penetration.

another bonus to my proposed changes to item 3916 is being how it is 1600 gold item it would be a situational purchase and not a core early buy. mages would not be able to first buy anti-healing to counter certain champions.

this could also nerf some of the current high tier champions like Vladimir Riven Kayle Irelia who are relying on either conqueror or built in healing.

item 3165 is the only ap item that gives a way to counter champions with large healing and can take far to long to build and worse as a first buy because most mages require mana. the champions that you build this against are lane bullies due to their sustain and they scale extremely well into late game as either team fight monsters or duelists.

Yes, this is something that makes sense. There should be a price for asking such a change. Although, i'd make Oblivion Orb's pen unique, and make a new AP item with about the same amount of pen as Morello (and weakening the pen on Morello for the trade-off). Just food for the thought. Theres a reason why there is a high pen % LW, and one that has less due to Grievous. Should be per situation, not the generalist it has become ever since the mage item rework. Also Ludens should lose some burst, its very problematic, and Mpen makes that situation worse.

No, no, no. The moment that happens Mages will just be almost unable to be pushed out of lane if they were to be able to kill sustain with 800 G (Reminder they have the best early game buys in the world with Corrupting following Dark Seal. Try punishing that without sustain). I get ADs have a 800G version, but the stats ain't that great and you still dumping 800g that could have gone into a core item. You gotta look at the bigger picture and, how mages were designed. They were never designed to have early heal kill power. Same with other classes. Besides, Sylas' W has been hit so hard, when fed, I cant even execute a siege minion at low heath. I kid you not. I am on neither side for who should get this or that. I get that if APs could buy a 800g item like that it could fix things, but at the same time, how many issues would arise from that? I especially look at champions like Azir possibly becoming problematic if that happens.

You know AD's are literally stronger than mages early game right?

zed level 3, talon level 2, yasuo level 3, riven level 3 all those can literally 100-0 anyone at those levels. show me a mage that can 100-0 someone with a single rotation that early(excluding yasuo because 5 of his rotations is like a single rotation of zed).

AP champs still build executioner's calling but it is not good for them because they need to auto to proc it and then sell it for an AP item. so whole your point of if ap's ever get early grievous wounds is null because they already do, but at a terrible price.

Only assassins and some fighters are broken early by design of their kit or their class. Assassins are strong early because if they fall behind, their late isn't amazing (until the LW change changed everything). Yas is practically a crit marksmen who is designed, by the way, to counter mages.

And i've never seen a AP champ buy exe at all. Most of the time they hold Ignite and wait for 2nd or 3rd item to buy Morello to counter healing since they have a one item core in practicality (Lost Chapter items (mainly ludens)).

Well, back when sylas was released i told my mid laners to pick it up and it helped them a ton. although back then his healing was absurdly r%%%%%edly broken(i'm pretty sure it still is..)

also, it should benefit the incoming mundo buffs to give him a counter..? also Vladimir .. I, personally pick it up when playing support against sylas... it is a good buy

Sylas' healing is actually hella weak. If im honest, people have finally wizened up and bought the items. Not only that, but his W damage is so weak I can't execute a cannon at low health, its absurd and i'm not lying lol. It ends up at like 10 hp. Sylas went from being able to help decide games to backseat. Fed or not. He's now so heavily dependent on what the enemy picks that it just makes his weaknesses even worse. Pro will continue to ban him due to what they pick, he likes those ults. I feel like he should win extended trades, but cant due to how somewhat weak his passive is in terms of base damage and somewhat scaling. I dominated a Riven in one game, and as soon as she bought hex and I had Proto, she won every extended trade, with or without R.

Mundo's buffs honestly wont mean much in the toplane due to other prevalent picks that will make him shit the bed (Riven, Jax, Fiora is good into him, etc.) He'll only be good against magic damage, but that's about it.

Idk why you got downvoted really. Like im all for compromises and shit, but it seems like none of that happens anymore. There should be compromises for nerfing Riven due to how insanely strong she is.
