Ye, yi is a bronze champion. Oh, and water is wet.

water is wet

Damn didn't know this was a meme post until I read that

Water is not wet. "Wet" can only describe solids, hence why Ice can be wet.

So what's your point. You are obviously bronze, where mechanically simplistic champions will tend to do better (since it's your observation that he does well in your matches).

There is no such thing as a 'bronze champion' though. Cowsep proves this, who plays competitively with him as a one trick in korea.

Yi, a glass cannon, with 5 kills doesn't mean anything. He could have 5 kills and 15 deaths. He could have no pressure on map. You can also roll Katarina and get 5 kills by pressing ER 5 secs into every team fight. Means nothing.

Don't see what you're trying to get at. Nerf yi? So not even bronze players can play him? Yi is OP? Then why isn't he being played as part of pro meta...

Make sure you actually look up my rank before accusing me of being bronze. And cowsep has confirmation bias.

I'm not 'accusing' you of anything.

You said:

"Like no one ever does bad, ever. He's not a common pick, but when he's picked he's always shredding everyone. Ends up with 5-10 kills or more.

edit: Master Yi is a bronze champion, don't believe me? "

So if Master Yi is a bronze champion who easily gets 5-10 kills, then you must be in bronze if he is performing in that way vs. you.

If you are a plat, and master yi is doing well, then he's obviously not a bronze champion.

Pretty straightforward really.

I'm simply looking at win rates. He has the highest in bronze. I'm a Yasuo player and He's a bronze champ too because his win rate is highest in bronze.

But those who have slows are out of luck. Not every champ has cc now do they?

Then here's a super secret mega strategy that not many people know of. And I know it's a very excrutiatingly difficult and face gnawingly hard to pull off strat that requires dozens of skills and thousands upon thousands of IQs, but here it is...

PICK CHAMPS WITH CC

ok but i'm solo, than I can't account for my other 4 teammates.

If you see Yi and haven't picked, pick some sort of champ w/ cc. Or just ban yi.. I know he can be op vs uncoordinated teams though :(

because new guinsoos is a broken item and yi gets to double dip due to a recursive error with guinsoos and his E passive which gives him % AD bonus.

Oh look someone who's being objective. I don'y see to many of you guys anymore. Now it's all just virtue signaling.

AirKingNeo2 votes

I'm being objective, but you aren't. A guy with 45.5% winrate in diamond plus is broken?

NekoniClaws1 votes

Low elo tend not to take the team comps to deal with him.

With ult and Alpha he is a nightmare to peel. If you do hit your CC on him that's probably your team's one spell. Runs into your squishy comp like a freight train.

Meep Man1 votes

Everyone knows Yi is a Pub champion. He can dominate uncoordinated teams and/or unexperienced players that don't know how to interact with him, but gets shut down hard the moment people start to learn how to deal with him. Can he be 1-Tricked and be good? Sure, but you have to go far, far, far beyond what you would have to do with other champions, to the point that it's usually not worth it.

He's not that bad, but there should be more trade-off between towerdiving AND soloing dragon/baron so easily.

He can not use his Q on Baron or Dragon (you can get 1 Q in during the initiation/engage process and that's it for the entire fight) because it will reset them for whatever reason (normal jungle minions may be frozen in animation but still attacking normally in the background/calculation in response to Alpha Strike, for whatever reason Baron and Dragon just completely rests when hit with Alpha; unless ofc, there are other attacking it at the time, making it not a solo). And so it means Yi has to kill them entirely with AA discounting the usage of Smite.

And no, it's not "so easily". Let's just say there are others who solo those objectives easier than Yi, and in the case of Dragon, many more, others given many junglers can indeed solo dragon after reaching level 2 while it is generally not particularly viable for Yi.

I swear people overrate Yi too much, there is a reason why he noticeably underperforms in any elo with respectable skills, and isn't even mopping the floor with everybody in the bottom elos where he is supposed to dominate.

Snowman Arc1 votes

It's easy to exploit Yi early on. He can't really gank if the laners know what they are doing, his jungle clear is very slow compared to someone like Graves and his 1v1 potential isn't as strong early on. He doesn't have mobility to move around the jungle and can't really chase anyone with a dash.

Therefore, if you play well in lane, you avoid ganks so he doesn't get fed. If you invade his jungle and farm well, you are gonna win all 1v1s until much later. That's why he is so good in bronze; people play like shit in lane and junglers always just try to gank and never play their own lane.

I Main Swain1 votes

idk what youre talking about, the only two reasons i ever see a yi get fed are when he himself has great skills as a player and/or when we just dont do things the way we should and because of that he gets free kills

master yi hits people and they die . .. WHats up with that?! https://tenor.com/view/seinfeld-gif-4751625

Like no one ever does bad (with Yi), ever.

That must be why Yi peaks his win rate at 50.6% in Bronze and Silver, which isn't even that good (at least compared to utter madness like say, Udyr's fucking 55% win rate in Bronze. No bulls, ayy), and then the win rate tumbles down a slope with each elo above Silver, 49% in Gold, 48% in Plat, and 47.7% in Diamond. The "downward slope" pattern is also observed with both his pick rate and ban rate.

It's almost like that statement, "Like no one ever does bad (with Yi), ever" is completely bullshit! And that Yi is actually full of ways to play against him if his opponent(s) actually has skills!

Easy there buddy. The trick to beating a yi is not letting him go 10/0 by walking up to you in lane and killing you with a Q and not picking Zed top so your team has actual CC. If you follow these stats the Yi will only start being relevant by 25 minutes and then fall off again at 50 .

Ya know, I play a lot of MonkeyKing , and while he isn't an OP champ by any means... it feels really nice to be playing him when I see a MasterYi .

Idk ab higher elo, but down here in Gold Wu just slaughters Yi.

MonkeyKing item 3142 item 3147 item 3077 Oh what's that Yi? You got 6 stack Rageblade? BOOM BITCH ...deleted

Then I turn around and give their ADC the 'ol Razzle Dazzle.

I clicked the link but where on it am i supposed to see the proof he is a bronze champion?

Im in bronze...i dont play Yi....but even i know that if you CC him hes useless. Which is why they all hide.......they sit offscreen in the shadows and wait til the fight starts and champs with CC use it on other enemies....then they come running in and clean up.

If you dont see him, dont fight. or when he does show up just focus him.

You look at win rates and see how he has the highest in bronze. I'm not talking about mechanics.
