S - , S , S + rating should be taking less LP loss in a lost match.

"Team game." "Team game." "Team game." "Team game."

Okay but how does that relate to matchmaking as a individual stand point ? Team game would mean in theory i am queuing with the same people over and over, but no i am a solo player who gets different players each match. I am a player who sometimes can win lane but gets one rotten fruit in my tree that spoils the rest of the fruit. Playing to just reach an S rating?? players want to win ! not lose their matches cmon get some common sense up in there... everyone WANTS TO WIN, TO BE A LEGEND. Why hasnt this been added already ? can a few less LP loss for a solid performance really have people walking with sticks and torches to riot? get real man this easy addition will help players settle in they're right MMR or league. If a player had a large participation and good cs and kda , warding etc which is all part of earning a S rating. Who's to say the S rated performance doesn't deserve to go vein in a lost match ? Lower elos in some of the matches i get "teamwork" is non existent i love team work just not in the elo where it is found unfortunately. Another variable in MMR and a damn good one if you ask me. And you cant abuse this for no one knows when they're going to get an S for sure anyways till AFTER the match so try again.

EDIT: you would lose maybe 17 or 16 LP instead of 19-21 that is not such a crazy difference for getting S rating is hard already and you are never actually guaranteed the knowledge knowing you will get an S at the end.

"Team game".

You lose with your team, you take the blow with them. No gimping out on something you were apart of. Don't like it, then don't play.

This madman would have our elos based on the new grading system.

And the new grading system is whack.

Your heart is in the right place, but no. The grading system is unclear and isn't even accurate most believe. If it were this could be considered, but it's still a team game, as you say. Individual play will never be promoted. That's why dynamic queue is here to stay. It's time to stop being toxic and make friends, even if they're just people from your previous games, to play with in ranked. That's the message Riot is sending. "Play together, play nice, or get @#$%ed. If you're too toxic to make friends, this isn't the game for you". Sadly a lot of nerds are really antisocial and so they'll still never make friends this way even if they are good people. If anyone you know is like this, there are several sites that you can use to meet people who are just down to play.

A few LP such as 3-4 Less LP would destory everything we hold dear and love for earning an S rating.

TRY AGAIN.

This is the first I'm hearing about 3-4 less LP, what the shit homie

you didn't make that point in your original statement and I can't read your mind

In fact your original post never made a point other than "I hate that this is a team game and my ranking should be based off of my individual play rather than the team as a whole". None of this 3-4 LP shit.

What the shit homie

The team game argument completely contradicts the "Get good." & "Need to improve." arguments you cannot puppeteer your teammates to do exactly what you want you they wont always listen to pings and wont always group etc. If you as a player is performing better, the player should be punished less as a individual player.

When are people gonna realize how meaningless these grades are rofl?

Well, this might be a nice thing to have. A better idea would be to have it where good performing players barely lose any MMR, that way they don't have affected LP gains from unfortunate match making. Like going up against that entire pre-made or getting one on your team that is horrible.

yeah i agree with this to be completely honest

I'm sure when they invent a new ranking system that completely excludes trivial things like "winning" or "skill" this will be worked into it.

Team game. If you play well you will win more. Work your MMR, not your win ratio.

Nty, would ruin ranked. People on losing teams would play safe and never take risks because "im getting an s anyways I won lane, game is lost idc"

You can go 16 0 7 in KDA and never get an S rank. You never know when your going to get an S rank. 3-4 LP deduction from for playing great then losing isnt a lot at all.

My point was that people who are losing wouldn't play for the win and would play for a stupid ranking that means nothing anyways

Getting an S means you have done well as an individual and you are rewarded for that. Winning means you have done well as a team and you are rewarded accordingly. It might not apply to you (and is more prevalent in non-ranked/Blind pick) but just because some one can play their lane and dominate to finish with very few deaths, many Kills, and a few cleared Turrets, doesn't mean they are helping the team win. Do they ping to warn their teammates of danger? Are they warding? do they engage in team battles at the dragon and or Baron? You can get an S without doing these things.

A lot of players are already too selfish, and rewarding them for not jumping in to help and teammate in trouble doesn't sound like something that would have a positive impact on the game. Unfortunately that could make it all but impossible for any one to play Jungle or support if they were not on an arranged team.

League is no different than most sports, a team that works together can often beat more talented opponents that don't.
I would suggest that instead of looking at these occasions and saying "it wasn't my fault we lost" why don't you think about what didn't work and what you would do better if confronted with those problems again.
