Lets be honest. There was a certain unique charm playing pre-rework Urgot
Yes, I get the visual looks were AWFUL but from a gameplay aspect he had some very unique stuff that is now lost to new Urgot. You see, Riot still lacks a ranged carry that "locks on" a enemy and rains the enemy with homing bullets. His kit aside from his ult purely revolved around "locking on" and it was actually fun with cohesion. But there were large problems that made Riot move for the rework which was especially about his toxic (putting it mildly here) toplane interaction.
- The homing missiles CD was 2 seconds per shot with no additional CD reduction.
- His "lock on" while is a small aoe with a long 11 second cooldown on max level had 20% armor reduction. A literal hit to win.
- You can** constantly** apply slows on his missiles.
- He gets reduced damage and shields while successfully locking on. Making trades suicide.
Say if Riot made an new ranged "lock on champ" and removed the problematic parts of old Urgot, added some new skills and kits (preferably a ult to match) and made his appearance well...a bit more "marketable" I would think its a good addition to league of legends since it would be a "anti-mobile" champ. Especially since the game has changed so much compared to then. What do you think?
