Boy oh boy, yasuo kit sure is overloaded.
Before you nag about win rates (yasuo is at 50.4% - a number that's pretty decent considering monsters like lux and ahri) I just made this post because I believe there are people like me that have misconceptions about yasuo, because many don't know some facts about his kit. Yes. This is a qq thread.
Passive: His passive grants you a free shield. No problem with that. The problem is when people say yasuo is squishy. Yasuo gets a anti burst shield that by the end of the game is better than malphites passive. The tank. No problem with that, considering you can pop it during lane phase and engage while it is on cooldown. The problem is during team fights. While you have to dig through 520 hp, you don't have the luxury to stop focusing yasuo like a malphite. Stop focusing yasuo and he will eat you alive. But wait, if he ults you he get's a brand new shield. 1040 hp. So burst is a bad choice, because he will soak up the damage and if he hits a ult, your bust meant nothing. If you try to dps him he will eat you alive. So what is the counter play? Hope yasuo makes a mistake so you can hit his shield once and after that hard engage? Why does flow recharge while we are smashing him so harassing adds up counter play like malphite or garen passive? Add to that the 2x crit.
Q: I always wondered why people rushed BOTRK for yasuo after the statik.
"The cooldown and cast time of Steel Tempest is reduced by 「 0.6% for every 1% bonus attack speed 」, down to a maximum 66% reduction."
Wow, free cooldown from other stats? Hum...
. In pratical terms you double yasuo dps. 4 cooldown becomes 2.4 and the cast time is greatly reduced. So by late game it is easier for yasuo to hit you. Q counter play is hope he miss you. It reminds me some other champion Q that has a casting time now...

W: Stops ult for your team. And it stays there eating anything you throw at it. Better than any spell shield in the game. The counter play is removing the barrier between you and yasuo. You know, the guy that make is in the top 3 mobility champions.
One manly tear because after the fist skill/hit he has to receive damage for his team and receive the CC. That's a man job Braum....
Wait,
crying like a little girl because his shield stops only oncoming and yasuo wall doesn't care from where the projectile is coming? And yasuo wall is LARGER?
E: Not much to see. It is a simple skill that... oh come on.... "The speed of the dash scales with Yasuo's bonus movement speed."
There isn't much to talk about here, because... you know....
.
R- Damage that scales with AD. Knock up. And.. BOOM! 50% armor reduction. Because.... free stats. No problem there. Honest. The problem is anything is considered a knock up. Draven E? check. Tresh E? check. Crossing the street and there is a curb in front of you? Check.
TL;DR.
So yasuo gets : Free HP for walking, for using E, for ulting. Free cd and casting time on his Q from attack speed. Free 2x = 1.9 crit. Free 50% armor pen.
Meanwhile
E just deals damage around her. Because her E proc Q is an overloaded thing.
). This is way too powerful because it makes it so yasuo can run full attack speed runes, and get a phantom dancer to cap out his attack speed cd on his q, and an infinity edge, then he can build straight AD/lifesteal or even tank (looking at you
). Windwall: is the most powerful basic ability in league of legends. It blocks literally everything thrown at it, whilst on a 20 second cooldown, this allows for yasuo to block crowd control (His supposed counter) unless it's from a melee source (example being braum's passive). Speaking of braum, his "wind wall" is much shittier, sure he can move during it, but after the first projectile, Braum still takes damage from them, unlike yasuo. Yasuo's ultimate, providing him 50% bonus armor penetration (Ie half of armor you bought is gone). The fact that a vayne e can allow yasuo to blink to a target is unbelievable. Knockups need to be redefined so this guy stops synergizing well with anyone that has a displacement spell (Or better yet, make it so it only works on HIS knockup, requiring yasuo players to have to land a skillshot.) If Yasuo gets his two item power spike (IE, PD). He's then enabled to build straight raw damage and tank. Frozen Mallet, Bloodthirster are two of these items he abuses, on top of warlords which he takes to get through what little poking mages do to him in the early game. Yasuo counters burst because of his passive shield and windwall, and he beats sustained damage dealers because of his earlier powerspike and mobility (not to mention an auto q will burst a squishy pretty quick). Yasuo needs some strengths taken out of his kit, like what happened to Camille.
and these don't even help you team. You basically get a free righteous glory that deals damage on a 5 second cooldown if you build some cdr.
