Plat V with a Silver 2 laner

I'm on a losing streak as of late, so usually, I have anywhere form gold 3 to plat 4 in my games. I'm currently at the bottom of Plat. In my last game it was very noticeable that my lane partner was new to trades and how to zone etc. Anyway, jungler feeds a couple kills, my support feeds a couple kills, I'm not good enough to know how to handle the situation. Anyway, after the game I look and he is silver 2, and it doesn't look like he was duo with anyone. I checked him out, and his w/r is ok, but he is definitely silver.

TL;DR: i didn't know that Silvers could do in plat games.

I don't remember which game but yesterday the enemy team had a diamond 5 and a gold 2 in a ranked game

Happened to me a while ago. I saw a couple of golds who were duo with each other in a Diamond game.

That is really weird. I think matchmaking f*ked up in this case. Assuming you're talking about the Silver 2 blitzcrank in your game, I checked out his profile and found out he wasn't duoing with anyone and his MMR is silver leveled. Rito pls. I have also experienced something like this. For my Gold promos, I had to face off with Plat 5s.

It honestly wouldn't even bother me that bad if the enemy team had someone of equal skill on the other side.
