qss cant cleanse his ult anymore.
they add an item with hp/ap, cdr and a burst/dash active. this is basically the holy grail for him.
nerf of major mr items.
cdr additions to a lot of major items like

Excalibait1 votesOn the other hand, he lost Spellvamp on Hextech Revolver and WotA and is now kinda forced to get a Gunblade pretty early in his build. I agree there are lots of changes that he benefits from, but I wonder how much of use that is, when his sustain took such a big hit..
MealReadytoEat1 votesI got to D5 with Morde, and I gotta say WoTa is a trap, and even gunblade is situational, although its better on PBE as its cheaper and the active is better. His W with some AP is enough sustain, and he has no single target abilities to make good use of spellvamp.

I don't believe Morde has actually built Spell Vamp since his rework.
Zero Skill Tank1 votesNo I don't think so. Protobelt isn't enough, Morde needs to stick to his target for a while. QSS change seems strong, but his ult has other strong form of counterplay - that is not to die - and I rarely ever seem players bother to buy it against Morde, kiting him is just more efficient. CDR wasn't added to lots of major items, it was added only to 
and , and those items paid a lot for it, I don't think we can even still call Zhonya a major AP item. Yes with protobelt he could get 30% easily, but he loses much up-front damage on it. MR got nerfed, but again, so did AP.
Elder dragon might, and probably will break him, if this beast is as strong as I heard killing it sounds likes free push to base for Morde, but that would be fixed in a patch.
But I don't play lots of Morde, so I might be wrong. But honestly, I don't think so, except for Elder Dragon, but I don't think riot will allow this to stay for long. He might be a little stronger without the dragon, but I think he still will be a champion that 3 players on each server actually do well with.

whenever i faced a morde, i always rushed the item on the account that it completely fucked him over and practically negated his kill potential.
why run from him and kite him, when you can immediately cleanse his ult and straight up kill him?
