From now on, only nerf strong champs, don't buff weak ones.
If Riot can actually do this, then damage will naturally decrease over time. Example: Instead of buffing Nasus, nerf Galio. The strong ones become weaker, the weaker ones can compete.

It's beyond that point, riot needs to tear the game apart and spend a whole year getting things in order, they should be fine on their mountain of cash from the overabundance of ahri skins
I think season 8 was their year of trying to get things in order xD
They did say at the before season 8 or pre season 8 that they'd be breaking down the fundamentals of the game and make the whole game feel like season 1 in some sense, as much as complaints are valid from players, they did warn us before hand.
Season 1 still was better. I dont remeber to take more than 1,5k dmg per second. Thats what rengar (for example, you can insert every assasine here) does with one jump. 0.0s 1500 dmg. Sounds healthy.
or they just need to realize that 95% of game is fine and most of boards are just an exaggerating crybabies who are too biased to realize how game should work
I too love dying because of one second stun.
I too love dying because of one second stun.
I love having 200+ MR and 3.7k HP as Leona and getting blown up by Mages like Lux and Neeko who haven't bought a Void Staff.
this just doesn't happen, show me literally one video of that.
I was playing Mundo one game, over 5k hp full tank. Engaged the enemy team (as the tank doing what I'm supposed to, take the initial brunt of the attack). It was a mid-late game 5v5 engage, I was not behind in any way. Died in 2-3 frames. Instantly delete'd.
I didn't need to get stunned for 1s, or even 0.25s. I didn't get grabbed or stunned. I wasn't out of position. I initiated the engage, the team was at my back, we had dragon buff advantage. I died in less time than the reaction time of any human on the planet, by nearly an order of magnitude.
But I'm sure it was my fault... somehow.
If you really think that, then you have 0 overall knowledge of league in general. Furthermore I would venture to say that you have 0 historical of the "progress" (or regression) of league over the last 5 seasons. Because if you did, then you would know this is not all right.

Watch out! Mult-season gold letting us know how the game SHOULD work!
Oh yes, the elo shaming, the stuff which only hardstuck diamonds and plats do.
If you have nothing relevant to say, stay silent.

You literally came in with a hostile comment with ZERO substance. It's not rank shaming, it's pointing out that you may not have the best basis of understanding of how the game SHOULD work after being trapped in low elo for so long?
I played like ~20-30 rankeds in last season, im not "trapped", im just playing normals instead of rankeds, what's wrong with that.
I won't say stuff like "uh im diamond skillwise but i don't want to climb". But im just not an ranked player, i have more fun on normals.
I just want an ivern skin already [zombie-nunu-bummed] I would buy it in a heartbeat
Hmmmm, this is what I've always said, but each time I got downvoted
That's not true, you get upvoted every time you say that.

Wut nerf galio?
Did i miss something? Does galio need a nerf? Anyone?

Yes, winrate went up by over 6% with the last buff.

Thx for the info.

The solemn and clear truth that they don't learn from their mistakes. Instead of buffing something else on his kit, they went on buffing his Q ability. Guess the one-shot galio wasn't enough for them to learn not to mess with those numbers without actually TESTING.
You really don't understand what they did to his Q, do you? That didn't just outright up the damage, it's more complicated than that. Phreak did the math and that change is a MASSIVE nerf to the AP ratio of the tornado in almost all cases, it's significantly weaker against almost all tanks save for something like a hyper lategame Sion or Cho'Gath, and it got nerfed even harder against squishy targets.
It literally takes 6000 HP for the new Q2's AP ratio to break even with the previous version.
correction: 5000 hp
i didn't have the time to look it up, but here's my math breakdown
old full duration tornado damage at max rank: 170 (+0.8 ap)+ 70 (+0.6 ap) + (+3% per 100 ap) = 240(+1.4 ap)(+3% per 100 ap) new full duration tornado damage at max rank: 230 (+0.9 ap) = 230 (+0.9 ap) (+4% per 100 ap)
considering someone has 2000 hp. the equations become (couldn't use the * sign since it fucks up the font): old : 240 + 1.4ap + 2000•0.03ap/100 = 240 + 1.4ap + 0.6ap = 240 + 2ap new: 230 + 0.9ap + 2000•0.04ap/100 = 230 + 0.9ap + 0.8ap = 230 + 1.7ap
in other words, if the q is cast against someone with 2000 hp, no matter how much ap galio have, the old q would've done more damage.
now let's calculate how much hp the target should have in order for both the abilities to have the same scaling(if you increased the ap by x both of thier damage increases by y):
240 + 1.4ap + hp•0.03ap/100 = 230 + 0.9ap + hp•0.04ap/100 10 + (1.4+ hp•0.03/100)ap = (0.9 +hp•0.04/100)ap since we want the scaling to be the same, we ignore the flat number(10):
(1.4+ hp•0.03/100)ap = (0.9 +hp•0.04/100)ap 1.4+ hp•0.03/100 = 0.9 +hp•0.04/100 0.5 = hp•0.01/100 50 = hp•0.01 5000 = hp
so, in order for the new q to have the same scaling as the old one, you need to use them on a target with 5000 hp, someone with more than 5000 hp the new one will win in scaling, someone with less the old one
Well, I do try understand your math. I also understand it's all great and all that. The truth is: Reality isn't there (or even close to that matter). The only abilities they touched this patch were Galio's R (nerfed), Q and E. Damage was only applied on Q (except for E's damage towards non-champions), and the truth is: His winrate increased (not in a normal way!). Plus, whenever I play against him, I personally feel the Q's damage's way higher than it was before. And trust me, I played against him before 8.24.
Either the health bar is lying to me, or I seriously have no idea how YOUR MATH is literally contradicting with the in-game facts. Even I played Galio after this patch ... I needed way less AP to deal the same damage I would deal before this patch. Numbers to me mean jackass in this game. (maybe that's why half of the shit that goes through these patches only fuck up the game even more - Too much "numbering care" when in reality this game isn't just about numbers.)
You were complaining about Galio chunking people with Q, not anything else. Now that I'm pointing out that Riot outright nerfed that part of his kit you're shifting the goalposts towards his overall strength as a champion.
Numbers to me mean jackass in this game.
It really sounds to me that you're saying you don't care how much damage his Q is actually doing, all you care about is what you FEEL like its doing. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I didn't shift the goalpost towards his overall strength. You don't see me talking about any other ability other than his Q (which, in my opinion, did not get nerfed in any way, besides your math). I just stated his touched abilities, but my focus remained on his Q. Thanks for putting words in my mouth.
About the second statement: It's not my fault you understand things differently than me and/or that you try your best to modify others' statements to match your interests. Now, explaining to you: It's not about damage. I meant it in ways of balancing the game. You even proved my point. You are saying they "hard nerfed it", meanwhile their quotes specifically state they buffed that ability (and intended to). Moreover, you genuinely stated it was HARD NERFED, meanwhile the truth (and I repeat) is that the champion's winrate jumped 6% (quoting some guy over the first posts) and let's be honest: His E's ability (all alone) couldn't have caused it, specially after having his R nerfed and "his Q HUGELY NERFED". All in all, what I mean is that you may try to use math to justify it was nerfed or buffed, but the real truth comes in-game where all things get together (other specific factors that come into the game), sadly to you it's just: "Huge nerf" ... :/
**Instead of buffing something else on his kit, **they went on buffing his Q ability. Guess the one-shot galio wasn't enough for them to learn not to mess with those numbers without actually TESTING.
This seems like you are explicitly complaining about his Q to me.

No offense, read before posting ...
Galio was buffed in 8.24 and turned from a tank into an AP mid laner that takes aftershock and still does insane damage. He became an incredibly strong pick in high elo.
Wut nerf galio?
Did i miss something? Does galio need a nerf? Anyone?
Yes, fucking GOD yes, nerf Galio. He can’t be a mage and a tank at the same goddamn time.
His waveclear is insane even with his E minion damage nerf because they overbuffed his Q.
technically you can, but there have to be trade-offs somewhere
Galio is grossly overpowered right now.
yes, yes and yes.
why is riot so oblivious to high damage being a problem?
the thing is people have said this over and over again, yet riot hasnt gotten the hold of it
Yes, so many people haven't realized yet what Season 8 has been, and how this company completely ignored every warning. They really think Season 9 is gonna be different, for no reason.
(I don't even want to talk about who enjoys this perma mindless burst fiesta)
Nasus is at 45.8% WR in Diamond. With 2.6% pick rate, and 0.8 ban rate.. Galio is at 52.8% wr in diamond, with 19,3 ban rate, and 13.3% pick rate But yeh, what about kha zix 53.3% WR,19.5% PR,and 21.9% Ban rate? Jax still have insane stats..and we have champions like ornn/nasus/kalista/tahm who are left in the dust, and beyond fking useless.Literally troll pick. Varus...? holy sh1t..that adc is basically always in gray screen if he steps out of the fountain cause he lacks mobility. Anyway, insane dmg/mobility is the highest problem here. Also, all late game champs are over, cause late game is at 25 minute. I mean...at 25 minute is end game.Cause nexus are often destroyed by that time or sooner

Not saying that Nasus isn't weak, just saying that he shouldn't be buffed to have +12 stacks when killing a monster, cannon minion, champ, or tower with Q. He is weak because he his early laning phase is so difficult with all these other toplaners like darius, riven, jax, irelia, etc.
Actually as a support main Varus is my favorite adc to have... they tend to be nicer and smarter in general rather than Lucians, I’ve found Kai’Sa players to be nice but you know... go 1/12...
Maybe it’s just because I can call him D E M O N P A N T S though...
You know what happened to me today? I was playing Nami and I took ONE step to close. I got rooted by Morgana, ulted by Syndra, and immediately died. This game is so much more stressful knowing that with the high damage one step means you disappear! How about instead of giving adcs more damage, they nerf the problem adcs such as lucian. Some champs like Garen take NO damage while im exploding from one deadly flourish from a bot lane jhin!
How do u take one STEP too close if Nami has no feet
[zombie-brand-mindblown]
Maybe I like uh... build prosthetic legs and like uh...
You know what just forget it
But then stuff wont die as fast, and Rito has been trying to make the game worse speed up the game... because they think thats what people want.
Buffs mean more ways to get gibed in 0.6 seconds. Nerfs mean people may escape with a sliver of health, and the game will take longer, and they think that would make LCS more boring to watch, so there is NO WAY theyre going to do that.....

Teacher, teacher! But what if the only reason those champions are seen as "strong" is because the other champions are weak?

Well, you nerf them until damage has decreased overall. The main reason I'm making this post is because I don't want Ornn and Sejuani to be turned into damage champions; I want them to stay tanks. Check the PBE patch notes to see what riot is planning to do next patch.
